if I think it would do a lot of good for the game economy if we got more non random and random material conversions.
So instead of just the random mystic forge tier up recipe we could also have :
50 tier n mat+ 1 tier (n-1) mat + 5 tier (n-1) dust+5 philo stones= 250-50 tier (n-1) mat
250 x mat + 1 y mat +5 dust + 5 philo stones= 250-50 y mat
and professions could get
2 tier n mat + 1-5 tier n dust= 1 tier (n+1) mat -> just like jewelers have now
1 tier n mat + 1 tier n dust = 2 tier (n-1) mat
5 x fine mat + 1 dust= 5 y mat
for the certain recipes the professions get, any one profession could convert the common mats it uses and a unique set of 2 fine materials.
the only problems are cooking ingredients, since the tiers don’t matter as much or line up well, afaik, and lateral gems because of the number of combinations.
This will help the economy by adding a ‘pressure’ valve that would allow worthless junk mats to be funneled into high value mats and the value of all mats would in theory drift to a middling valve with a bit of rapid spiking to feed the market junkies.
