First I wanted to say that this is a great event, its a good level of difficulty and fun imo. This is why this event is so much more frustrating for me. I work full time and I have been unable to get into my main server in order to give this fight a real go. I have spent hours of my time in the overflow in one map, failing the event due to lack of numbers and organisation.

I could log on in the middle of the night and go afk till I get home, but that is not fair on everyone else and not the way I want to play.

I wouldn’t mind so much if there was a TP in the map so i could do something productive, but there isn’t even that.

I have 2 solutions that could be put in place and would solve much of the problem.

1. Make the queue for the fight/main instance like the WVW queue so that we can access the rest of the game whilst we wait.

2. Have an afk kick after a couple of mins in the main instance so that people cant go afk between fights.

I think ether of these would make a difference.

Hm.

If I’m reading this right the 1. is implemented. When you are on an overflow, you are automaticly queued for your home world.

As for the second, kickin people when they are AFK when there are no events up (between fighs – again, if I am reading this right), is not a very good idea. Some people are camping there for 1,5 hours, just to get to fight Teq. Kicking AFKs during the fight however is very much welcomed.

Hi bubi, sorry I think you have missed the point of 1. if we leave the map we leave the queue, which means we have to wait in that one map all day to stay in queue. if it was like WVW we could go to another map and do other things and still remain queued.

Hope this makes sense, as for the kicking afkers, it would simply mean that people have to be actively playing the game and not just playing for 15 mins every 1.5 hours. Granted this is more controversial, but I think would give more people a fair chance at playing on their actual server.

Being dropped to character select after 10 minutes of inactivity is fine. If you are waiting for the fight you can do something every 5 minutes and not get kicked. But the many people that just went shopping or watch a movie can get dropped.
