Finishing PvE mobs in current implementation is complete BS. Their heal don’t have CD and really hard to interrupt with damage (conditions are ignored completely). Make it PvP-like, or remove completely. Right now it’s only annoyance, especially when you trying to solo event.

Are you kidding me? This is the best thing that’s happened in a long time. You know how when you down a sylvari and then some krait runs over to res them? Yeah, they don’t like to stop trying. So if one were to, I don’t know, drop an AoE on the downed mob, you could get two kills for the price of one. More importantly, this shifts the focus away from lelelellelelelelzerker and lelelelleehealthpools towards what could potentially be interesting gameplay that allows you to prioritise disabling /not necessarily killing/ the biggest problem first and dealing a ton of damage to the poor saps who try to get him back in the fight. I don’t know, maybe I’m insane for wanting gameplay with more depth than autoattack x guys till they die?

this does not add depth all it added nothing it just artificially lengthens the fight needlessly for what? it does not change game play? no it just has people zerk harder and aggro more mobs they never wanted to fight. carefully selecting what to fight? gone, rallying? near impossible that is what it “added”. so no this is not “the best thing that’s happened in a long time” its just lazy the fact any defend it baffles me.

FYI its not going to hinder the depth its going to removing something never should have been.

Honestly? I can see why it might be a good addition to the gameplay, but currently? I can down those enemies much faster than I can finish them, which is annoying as hell. Downing enemies that take longer to take down would be ok, really, but like this, it just drags fights out…

I say no also. It’s just wasting my time. Maybe it would work on champions and big bosses that actually take time for me to kill, but against everyday enemies, it’s just annoying me and slowing me down.

It was fun the first 10 times or so but after that I agree that it’s just dragging things out unnecessarily. If the finish him was a quick and painful looking stomp on the face or you quickly smashed them on the head with your weapon of choice I wouldn’t mind. As it is though you do a big posey long winded He-Man impression “I HAVE THE POWERRRRR!”

It was fun the first 10 times or so but after that I agree that it’s just dragging things out unnecessarily. If the finish him was a quick and painful looking stomp on the face or you quickly smashed them on the head with your weapon of choice I wouldn’t mind. As it is though you do a big posey long winded He-Man impression “I HAVE THE POWERRRRR!”

This. It’s especially annoying to do with a group of enemies around still attacking you during it.

I Love it and can’t wait for this to Get implemented in a new dungeon path and/or as a long awaited Fractal, this would more depth to the zerk-mow-down-trash-killing.

Imagine you having to Knockdown or launch a mob to prevent it from getting a an enemy back up.

But remember, you can just keep spamming attacks to kill downed enemies, just like in WvW. What is this added depth that people are talking about? All you do is spam your attacks a bit longer to finish off opponents. There’s really no need to use finishers at all.

imagine when you have 2-3 mobs on you and few that wait to finish them and some veterans and you try to finish them and you go down you can just say BYE BYE you’re dead I hate this finish crap on mobs good thing is just a temporary content ..

I never saw it before today. The first 2 times it was OK, I guess cause it was new… then it quickly became annoying. What is the point? certainly hope it is temporary or at least isolated to the tower.

NPC downed states in PvE don’t bring anything to the game beyond a mechanic that nobody asked for.
