Wait… wait… so you knew everything (your previous life, your mother, your time in her womb, etc.) prior to getting born, right? And the rest of humanity are all suffering from an early amnesia for not remembering anything from the birth trauma and the preceding events and months, hmm?

Malyck’s tree isn’t connected to the Dream of Dreams, so she couldn’t impart Malyck with any pre-birth knowledge of herself and the world, unlike the Pale Tree. Malyck’s a fully-grown, magical newborn, plain and simple.

??? Come on, don’t go comparing real life with sylvari please.

And you might want to pretend that Malyck’s tree has no conneexion to the dream, but nothing, really nothing in the game can make you say if Malyck’s tree has a dream or not (or is connected to the dream or not). We know nothing about that tree. Period.

Malyck came to his senses injured on the river side, looking up to a bridge : the injury can explain a ‘memory loss’
His pod went downstream before Malyck was born. He was born far from his tree : this can explain why he is not connected to his tree and the eventual dream, if there is any.
Or, it is also possible, his tree has no dream.

Three theories… Pick one. Don’t be so adamant on knowing the truth.

Malyck is by far the most enigmatic sylvari in the game. I hardly call his inability to remember the Pale tree amnesia. He hasn’t fallen from Nightmare and does not belong to the Soundless either, as the Soundless made a choice which he never had (see what I did there Lestat fans XD) This gives us acces to the library of assumptions, speculations, theories and creativeness. In short it opens the possibility of 4th faction within the Sylvari.
To still ty them to the Sylvari lore that is known to us, Malyck still has the be born from an Elder Tree. Knowing botany I will provide my theory on this one: The Seedpod in which the Sapling Malyck grew fell off before his conscious could be connected with the Tree and others of his kin. He shows little connection to Ventari’s Tablet of commendments. He is just about a blank slate. Fallen seeds need nutrient soil to grow. A plausible theory for Malycks birth so far from the tree and ‘amnesia’ and I am sure Malyck isn’t the only one. I’ve done speculating about these Sylvari and started to call them the Soilborn. None of these speculations hold any grip to any lore we know now, but if anything comes up I have a book ready to share. (No Dragon in that btw, but there are the Druids of Denravi)

Looking at the Krait lore now and look for a place for either Dragon or Scarlet Briar or Inquest for that matter (Kudu) Except if Mordremoths essence was infused somehow into the obelisk tower. I find it more likely that the krait show their true form now. Their Ascended form so to speak with a reference to gw1. Now here is why I mentioned Seedpods falling from the Pale Tree: The krait have found themselves one of these seeds and some Krait Archwitch intoxicated it with their vile magics to create themselves this obelisk of power. A blank, growing, still shapeless lifeform with the essence of an Elder Tree. Whoever has seen the movie EPIC knows where this theory is loosely based on.

What I DO think is that this immense magic construct right under our noses will attract baddies like flies to honey. Inquest, Court, Minions, yes yes Briar and her mercs as well, but I don’t think we will see any of them this content update, more likely in a later chapter. (For you fans of the Evil Queen Theory: How the hell could the most powerful mesmer in Tyria not see this?)

And let us not forget the Krait<→Quaggan connection and all the turmoil there. I haven’t really seen anyone mentioning the Quaggans here.

I just put down what my mind showed me, more words for the creative and inventive to bring Mordremoth in the picture (or not) but I don’t think we’ll get a mention of him anytime soon.

With Southsun people speculated it was to be the prelude to the DSD because the general theme was ‘sea creatures being driven out of their natural habitat’.
With the Molten Alliance people speculated it would be the prelude to Primordus/Jormag because the general theme was fire/something north was driving the Norn and Charr downwards.
Zephyr Sanctum was speculated to be the prelude to Kralkatorrik since the people there talked about Glint and how they were entrusted with the protection of her legacy.
Rise of Tequatl was, once again, speculated to be tied to a potential re-rise of Zhaitan, since something had to be giving power to its champion.
Now with Tower of Nightmare people have been speculating it is going to be the prelude to the Jungle Dragon since in the few preview images we’ve been given access to we see rotten plants and vine-like structures.
I think I’ve had enough (false) hints to dragon preludes to know this is not going going to be about any ED whatsoever.
