Mine just started downloading…now error again

@GuildWars2 just tweeted that everybody is trying to download the content at the same time, so sit tight and shush!!

i’m moving to ee they say i need my line changing which they do to give me fibre optic bye bye to buffering

On the first day of Wintersday Anet gave to me….

I left mine at “Retrying…” and it seems that you get added to a queue. After about 5-10 minutes I got in, downloading between 0.4MB/sec-1.4MB/sec. HOWEVER. It only gets about 300 of the 5400 files, then errors out, then goes through the downloaded files really quick (just checking them I think) and finally gets about 300 more files before erroring out and repeating this over and over. Right now I’m about 15% done downloading.

Long story short: Just leave it alone or you won’t be getting anywhere. Closing it seems to restart the download completely!

Downloading now at over 2mb/s! Come on guys, a few minutes of delay isn’t bad.

Seems to have sped up the downloed for me. Curently at 20%

Yea I left mine after a couple restarts and im at 27% now. Just let it be. Restarting probably loses your queue spot.

So let’s see, We wait the entire day for the patch. (Honestly it would have been better to just say it would start on the 15th if you needed this much time), and now that’s it’s out.. you’re telling us you’re having issues with connection because everyone is downloading at once?

What is it with Anet and being completely unprepared? I can’t wait to finish DL’ing this patch only to find every event is bugged just like the karka event.

I’m about 70% done (only took like 5 minutes after the “Retrying…” went away!) , but if you close it it seems like it restarts and you need to wait for your chance to download all over again. Leave it alone for 30 minutes and see where you are, then complain!

Looks like ArenaNet have tweaked something, the download is cracking along now.

I cant login as well just says connection error detected….retrying please wait. Hope they fix this issue soon.

Not complaining here, but I would like to point out that this content could have been implemented earlier, and an automated timer could have just started the event. That way it wouldn’t be such a big hubub every new patch night, er I mean event night. Anyhoo, THANK YOU FOR THE NEW CONTENT ARENA NET!!! I’m sure it will be suitably awesome, keeping in with their history.
