If you open it you get “ugly wool clothing”.

It says on the tooltip that it can be exchanged for other rewards at one of the Lionguard’s gift-exchange representatives.

I went to one marked with a peppermint, it gave me nothing but death by skritt which were overpowered for my area. I killed 50 other things and got nothing…nada…not even a “bo staff” or “charr carving”

I am really beginning to think this game does not like me.

So far encountered 1 just blew up without any presents but was compensated later with 2 popping out of one

Do they drop minis too?

It’s an event, like the doors. You open the present, and Skritt pop out (maybe other things too, I’ve only seen skritt). You fight them all and then open a little box to receive one of random medium present items, which you then open like loot bags to receive christmas junk. I’ve only found ratty clothes bits and snowflakes, but other have reported recipes and stuff.
