The collector in me couldn’t help but obsess over this information:

Join us in Stress Test on July 30 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) to participate in the World vs World Desert Borderlands Invitational! We’re pitting three of our community members – Chemsorly, Heurix, and Shinryuku – against each other for a three hour tournament-style event, livestreamed on Twitch.tv/GuildWars2. Players that participate in the event and help bring their world victory stand to earn rewards that will be distributed to their live Guild Wars 2 account.

Just wondering if only the winning side gets the rewards, or if all participants get them?

Reward enough would be just letting me play. Beta tested guild wars 2. Been playing for years strictly wvw and pvp. Pre oredered hot. Beta tested the rev. Nobody in our guild got an invite.

True! I was more interested in the wording- if only those selected by the streamers (and are on the winning team) are getting rewards, or if we’re all getting something for our time. I’m expecting something like a keg of wxp, some champ bags, etc. Nothing super special (but I’m ok with super special stuff)!

These forums would explode for the next 3 months and a lot of people would leave the game if a reward was given. They still haven’t stopped posting hate about vets having to pay $50 for HoT.

In the email they said stuff like

I see. So getting into the waiting area as soon as it opened, waiting in queue for an hour and 20 minutes, and even then not being able to get onto a map that the streamers were on… Watching the stream, and playing still after the event was over.. Not to mention taking off from work (I live in PST time zone, 3-6 is during a work day) to try to participate.. Doesn’t count as participating? Noted, I won’t bust my booty to partake in an invite-only (lol) event in the future.

Rumor was that everyone who put in a set amount of time in the beta would get a token of appreciation and the big reward would go to everyone on the winning team who played during the 3 hour PPT war… but I haven’t heard anything about what people actually got. Anet said “players” and not “streamer” so…

Perhaps something for hot? A guild hall skin maybe? Something like that I guess.

When did this happen and who are those people? I usually just log on and kill everything that’s red…what am I missing?

I see the rewards were distributed, but i think there is something wrong. I was on red, and we won, but got the reward for the 3rd price (1 booster).

Would be nice to get the reward i worked for ^^.

I was on for the last hr of the event and never got anything for it. Did you have to make it for the entire event?
