Guild Wars 2

After working on this on for short spurts during the summer, I finally finished this project this week and thought it’d be worth sharing here. I was going for something reminiscent of the Asura motif and used the golems and glyphic weapons as my main references.

The paint is mostly spray can stuff, with the gold being model paint that was applied by hand. I weathered it using a light, controlled brushing of acetone. The gem in the center is just some ordinary frosted glass stone commonly found in flower vases or aquariums.

The light comes from a high powered LED. Green is currently installed. The blue colored blade is actually from another lightsaber I had already built; I just slide the tip of the blade into this housing. It’s powered by three AAA batteries. There’s a red button that you cannot see because it is on the backside.
