Just a bit of fun. I decided to make a Character Biography for my favorite character.
Character name: Anabuki Tomoko (props if you know where name is from)
Race: Asura
Class: Necromancer
Characteristics: Blind, uses minions to see during the day, and spirit sight to see at night(imagine the area lit under a full moon, thats what spirit sight is like)
Early bio: Failed out of the 3 Asuran Colleges and left Rata Sum at an early age to find work in Lion’s Arch. Grew up in the Lion Guard fighting risen(as a thief), but forced to resign after a fight with a plaguebringer cost her her sight(not her eyes, just her sight. her eyes are physically fine, though a bright amber in color, yet they no longer see)
Expecting to live out her life in (what equates to retirement) Lion’s Arch, she eventually met Killeen(yes from the book). Having never met a sylvari before(or understanding what exactly a Sylvari is….) she spent days answering the Sylvari’s endless questions, and learning what little she could about necromancy in return. In particular, using minions as servants, though Killeen didn’t know in what way Anabuki intended.
Later (after Killeen left following some Asura named Clagg) Anabuki would succeed with her goal(after a few failed attempts involving 1 rampant flesh golem, 2 exploded houses, and 1 night of undead noises heard throughout Lion’s Arch). Her goal, was using an undead minion to act as her eyes (she literally sees through what passes for its eyes). Her first success was on a tiny lizard, who Anabuki would later add wings onto to make seeing easier(easier to see from above rather than people’s feet). This lizard looks much like an undead dragon.
With this success, Anabuki found life alot easier and was able to leave “Retirement” (few in Lion’s Arch were sad to see her go after that last incident). Anabuki began traveling the world using her new found sight, looking for more ways to expand on her Necromancy.
Following the rumors of a necromancer of great power in Divinity’s Reach…….she never found them, instead she found herself feeling sore on the side of a road with blood streaming down her neck. Later (during an incident in the market involving her uncontrollable attack on a merchant’s neck) she would discover she had become a vampire (which probably explains how she ended up with that blank spot in her memory) and also that she was in a lot of trouble…..turns out causing a fight in the marketplace is a rather big offense when a lot of valuables are broken and/or stolen. Given the choice of reducing her sentence by fighting the mist war or serving her time in prison, she took the first option and began fighting in WvWvW (which was an excellent opportunity to satisfy the thirst).
Weapons/skills:
While Anabuki is a Necromancer, she retains her dagger training as a thief, as well as her fast running speed
Despite that, she’s always admired Greatswords and has recently picked one up to learn how to use it.(this admiration is likely from people she admired in the Lion Guard tending to use long swords, which to Anabuki, is the size of an Asuran Greatsword.)
She usually has several small bone minions around her(in addition to her undead flying lizard) and a flesh golem, but due to the headache from seeing from multiple angles at once, she usually just uses the lizard to see(and as a result keeps it close to her at all times. )
in addition to expanding on her vamperic healing abilities, she’s discovered how to expand this vamperic recovery into AoEs(wells).
Fun Facts:
-Though she’s still trying to find out how, the Lizard has shown signs of developing independent thought. This has Anabuki questioning the human concept of “death and the creation of life”
-Anabuki’s current theory is its copying her own conscious as she uses this minion so often, while her other minions have died multiple times. This minion has never once been killed since Anabuki created it.
-Though she’s an Asura, she was raised in Lion’s Arch and as a result has been more influenced by other cultures (as a result, her manner of speaking isn’t as “smart-kitten ” as asuran, but more aggressive like a charr. and her fashion sense is far more developed than most Asurans, mostly mimicking human fashion sense)
-Recently, she’s discovered that she can see at night, the distance she can see with this ability varies currently (when she first discovered it, she thought her spirit was leaving her body. that fear has since been proven false)
