I’m genuinely impressed with this animation, it’s the 2nd best recruitment thread I’ve ever read. The first was from Fubuki way back in the day, (it totally moved me in such a way i xfer to kaineg back in week 5) He used a simile that it was so rare to see a player in kaineg back in those days, killing it would be like killing a unicorn. I used to run with unicorns, now i run with blobs.

Not from DR and would never leave my server anyway to go anywhere, but poking in to say that I absolutely adored the video. I miss fighting (most of) you guys, though you definitely have quite an active collection of forum warriors that made the server-fight topics not as enjoyable as they could have been. :P

If you build it they will come. Be careful what you wish for. I enjoyed the video but it makes no sense. It seems you enjoy what you have now I envy the matchup you guys have atm how close it looks. Recruitment negates everything, you will become everything your video dislikes and you’ll be polar opposites of yourselves. Ask yourselves are you sure you want it different, have you even thought about everything that changes, the consequences etc. To me I wish you luck but it feels wrong to say that cause I know what would be entailing and wouldnt wish that upon any of you.

trying to get a few guilds for our off hours, not to blast through the tiers.

I think the trend is for those who like zergs to go up-tier, and those who dislike zergs to go down-tier. You will not find 100 man zergs on DR. Our idea of epic is 30 people, and we call to arms for 20 hitting a keep. A 3 golem rush is a big deal. This is an alien landscape for many who play in the top tiers.

Keeps last. Upgrades persist through the night. We see camp upgrades actually happen.

You can find small action. There are some highly skilled roaming groups on this server that take on and defeat groups much larger than themselves.

The server is small enough where everyone can use the WvW TeamSpeak server.

I think the kind of WvW environment at DR appeals to a very different kind of player, and it is unlikely we will be swarmed by legions of people looking for zerg on zerg action in response to this video.

Our specific issue atm is night coverage. There is a hole there, and our foes exploit it. Sure would be nice if we could get a few good players to lead and anchor that time.

We do not want to charge up the tiers. We are having a blast.

It is close and fun. I am in no hurry to go anywhere.

We look forward to new players that want to enjoy the environment that has grown here on DR. WvW can be a blast on DR with solid team play, players that you know by voice and trust by their quality play. We have guilds that will build new members of the community up and bring skilled guilds into the team effort. Take the time to talk to guild leaders from Devonas Rest and see if the move will work for you!

DR is loads of fun. There isn’t a day where all the guilds in the alliance aren’t breathing WvW! Come join the fun by coming over to DR and adding on to our coordination and coverage:)!

I think the best thing about DR is when you log into TeamSpeak, everyone always greets you with a warm, personal “Welcome User!”
