Dear players of Dragonbrand,

THIS IS NOT A GUILD RECRUITMENT THREAD

I am looking for anybody who belongs to the DragonBrand server that would be interested in learning what World vs World vs World, is all about. If you’re new to GW2 or a veteran, I really don’t care because our server was once great, and it was once a community. If you’d be interested in participating in a coordinated, fun and competitive team environment within WvWvW, then please send me some mail in-game and let me know. Already, I have several players that are on my list that wish to participate as a team in wvw and go have some fun taking forts and killing reds.

Players need to be at least lvl 1 or higher to access the Bordlerlands, and I will take anybody who is 1 or higher. I was once one of the main commanders of DB and I’ve been back for some time. I didn’t just wear a tag and lead a zerg. I helped create a community that seems to be dying in a corner, and I’d like to revive that community. It’s going to be a long and slow process, however, it’s going to be a really fun one as well.

In order to do this however, we need our players from our server to test the wvw waters. To take that plunge from running dungeons and shattering record fractal times to jump into epic open field battle with fellow Dragonbranders! Can you make more gold elsewhere? of course! can you get better drops in more pve centered content? Absolutely! But we’re not playing WoW! We’re playing Guild Wars 2! And one of the best and largest pieces of content it has to offer is World vs. World and I’d love to personally show you why it’s so awesome.

Stop with the grind, start having some real fun! WvW is not a full-time commitment as some would believe and it really is one of the most ALL-AROUND productive and fun things you can do in this game. From leveling, to karma gain, to adventures and just sheer good times, WvW can provide it. And just like the rest of GW2, if you get a little burnt out, there’s plenty of other stuff to explore and love.

So Dragonbrand, this is a call to arms for all players that are looking for that next fun mode and that next frontier of addicting game excitement. Please pm me in-game via mail, or pm me on the forums if you’re interested. My guild was one of the very first guilds in GW2, built during Closed Beta, and it was once the beacon of wvw excellence across DB. Not because of our elitist or exclusive ways, but because we approached WvW in a purely fun fashion that encouraged all players to have a great time while killing the enemy! We want that community to return to DragonBrand.

Note: (there is currently a small alliance already existing on DB amongst some of the die-hard guilds that still fight hard for Dragonbrand’s wvw reputation. This is not addressed to you, but it is addressed to the new players and the ones that have no idea what WvW is, or those that are returning and would like to try something else. I am in no way looking to undo that, or get in the way of your work, im simply doing what i know best, and what role i know i can play in reviving our epicly awesome and fun community. It needs some spice)

Bump for prosperity. I actually encourage you to start a WvW guild. DB has a loss of them. After coming back from hiatus, I found out when I was playing that when one guild moved servers, over 18 of them followed because they wanted to win or something. Which angered me. So it’s always outnumbered in BL and Eternal. If you do I totally would join. I’m not a cmdr but it would be nice to have a few in it. DB needs the WvW players back in it badly.

lol I do have a guild and it is DB based and i have members from other servers transferring over to DB every day within the guild, not counting the new DB recruits we’re already bringing in.

We’re much further ahead now than we were before. 60 members in the guild are DB players, and the server as a whole is improving it’s wvw status. so keep it up DB

I’m a little confused. On your guild recruitment post like 10-12 days ago, you had 400 people in your guild. So….where are these people?

491 as of today, unfortunately only 63 of those currently reside on DB that are active, there are another 125 from DB that are inactive (im slowly going to be removing them… its sad) HOWEVER, we are now mounting large scale guild-run activities to fundraise the gold needed to buy the gems to transfer the players that can’t transfer themselves. Not counting the players that are actively transferring themselves.

To give you an idea of how fast we’re growing these numbers, we began rebuilding the guild from only 180 members just 32 days ago, we’re now at 491. 2 weeks ago our wvw groups would be lucky to have 8 players at primetime, as of today we had 17 DB players ready to go. i have 4 more confirmed active accounts coming to DB by Wednesday, and that doesn’t include what we’ll recruit by then or who may transfer that im not aware of yet.

So our presence in wvw may be “less than expected” by the more persistant groups but i can assure you, we’re making more and more of an impact with each passing week. We also tend to operate on maps that the other guilds are not on. For instance, should DB be losing it’s points to DH, we’ll attack DH BL with at least 10-15 players and start flipping their holdings. basically it neutralizes the numbers they’re trying to gain. We did it for a good 2 hours today when AR tried to mount a small comeback around 330pm Pacific til about 6.

Anyways, there’s some insight on what we’re doing to help the server and how quickly we’re trying to achieve it. It also doesn’t help that the only experienced wvw commander we have is me, and im having to teach as I go along as alot of our players have been plucked from pve. Which i believe is somethign DB needs to do more.

Well we lost a few small guilds this week i believe, but for the numbers that we’ve been bringing in i think it might only be a very small setback
