Howdy!
I’m a casual player looking to join a warm & fuzzy guild in Fort Aspenwood. I’m going to introduce myself and try to describe my ideal guild, so that you guys could see whether we’re going to be a good match or not.
About me:
I’m a 24 years-old Canadian who lives in Montréal, QC. I’ve played Ragnarok Online and Granado Espada in the past, so I’m not exactly new to MMO. I just started playing GW2 several days ago, but I’ve done my research before I bought the game, so I think I have a decent understanding about the game mechanism. Not to mention that the in-game tutorial is very helpful for newbies! Also, I have 2 friends from Tarnished Coasts and Blackgate who have been very accommodating.
I only have one character so far: male human mesmer called Rémy Lacoursière. I’m interested in all aspects of the game; PvE, PvP, WvW, RP, etc. and I’m eager to learn them all. I’m also an information-sponge; I like to ask questions, creating possibilities, and experimenting with stuffs. Having said that, I might seem like a rebel because I don’t always follow the “meta”. However, I always keep an open mind and try my best not to become a liability in a group setting, while still maintaining my authenticity.
What I’m looking for in a guild:
I’m looking for a friendly PvX guild that values diversity and kinship. I want absolutely no part in a guild that is racist, sexist, homophobic, or any other kind of bigotry. Some people think that making jokes in these areas are acceptable and I was the party pooper for being too uptight. I love humour just as much as the next guy, but I won’t let ignorance, cloaked in the name of “jokes”, to go unanswered.
I want to be a part of a guild that knows one another, as I don’t want to be just another name on the roster. For that reason, I’d prefer to join a smaller-sized guild. I want to find a guild that I can consider my home and while I will most likely only rep that one guild, I don’t really appreciate it when they have a 100% rep requirement.
These are all the things that I can think of at this time. I might have missed something, so please feel free to ask me anything. Thanks for reading!
Cheers!
