[NA] The Expedition [XP]: Flex Raids+Team PvX
Just wanted to quickly share my experience with Riven and his leaders. Before joining XP last week my GF and I have been trying to find a guild for 2 years now. Not finding a group that fit us personality and goal wise really was unmotivating for us to play this game. Not only are the leaders of XP experienced veterans but they are also hands down nicest we’ve come across in this game. My GF and I have seriously refound our enjoyment of this game because of finding this guild. Enough from me! Go read the incredible guild site and speak to Riven to find out for yourself if XP is right for you
Please be careful when applying to this site, it may be hacked, as soon as I signed up, I got a fishing scam on my GW account and a notice of attempted logins, fortunately I don’t use same login and pw for forum sites. May be an issue they should look into.
This is the first time I’ve heard of this issue from people using my site over the years. I will investigate with the host to ensure this isn’t a coincidence. If people want to apply and are unsure while i verify, please send me mail ingame or PM me here.
I signed up and I don’t have anything wrong. I haven’t heard any other reports of thay from any of the guild members so it must be a fluke or something else entirely.
Ok, now that I’m home, I contacted the host support. Here is their response:

=Riven=,
No one to date has ‘hacked’ into PB. The main issues we have that affect forum intrusion (or cracking) is due to members sharing accounts (which is against TOS), giving critical admin powers to an member they don’t know very well (untrusted), or using weak or easy to guess passwords. I’m guess in this case it’s the latter.
There is no vulnerability with yours or anyone’s forum. And there would be no ‘hacking’ due to ads either. We have strict guidelines that we set forth for advertisers. The only issue regarding ads would be a rogue ad that redirects a user to another site (generally the app store or such, nothing malicious) but even then we go on an all out manhunt to locate and eradicate the offending ad.
Only being able to go on what you posted, they claim hack or attempted hack? Are there concrete facts to support their claim? It sounds more like they’re trying to stir up trouble for whatever reason.
This person’s perceived security issues are not the result of your forum or ProBoards. Your members are safe as long as they all practice safe computing. (Not sharing passwords, make the passwords challenging – not simple, not sharing personal information, etc.)
As a guild leader simply trying to promote GW2, HoT, and his community, this does put me in a sticky situation during recruitment. I apologize if you feel that our site is the reason you received hacking attempts on your GW2 account; however, I hope my efforts to resolve the situation is enough to comfort potential applicants to reconsider joining our community if they were turned away by this incident. The philosophies of the guild are built around my personal philosophy to uphold the greatest integrity I can as a human being, and I ensure you that I will do whatever it takes to ensure my members can participate in our gaming community feeling secure, safe, and respected.
With that said… I’d like to return the topic back to recruitment.
Spirit Vale… come with us… apply today! =D
