I’ve bought gems in the past with no problems. Today I have tried two different CC’s and even PayPal but every single purchase fails with a nondescript error message.

I’ve got a support ticket in but the first response was unhelpful because it was just “oh, contact your bank to find out why it was declined”. Now we’re talking about three different financial institutions all blocking payments from NCSoft?

Has anyone else had a problem purchasing gems today?

I have had the same problem And there is no perso thats able to sort this problem out. can somone please explain why this is happening. and can somone please pst a link for actual contact number for customer service * i contacted the bank and they informed me tht the system from the game site has te error notthe bank the bank has plent funds and my cards work on every other game site so why not this i use both paypal and any type o paymen tat can go ad yet nothing it seems this game is epic fail right from the start.

if you buy gems pretty regular basis there is a chance they flag you as a high risk user (anti-fraudprogram) and then you’ll be auto-blocked from buygin new gems within certain amount of time.

In you support ticket you can ask wether you have been blocked from purchases like somany others and if they (arenanet) could maybe temporarely override the blockade (they can just remove the block with the click of a button for like 24 – 48 hours)

I have fraud protection on my account that pretty much holds any online purchases in limbo so I simply had to call them and tell them it was a legit purchase and whoa-la. It can be a pain but I’d much rather have the added safety of people not being able to buy things with my money even if they -do- have my info because they won’t have my private pin number needed to give my account permission to accept an online purchase.

I am facing the same issue here on my side. I made three purchases successfully, but it was rejected on the fourth.
