Where does Trading Post Data come from?

I have seen tons of sites that have market data (current & historical prices) from the trading post. How do these sites access this data? Does ANet have a public API to access this information? Or is there another method of collecting trading post data?

The data is parsed from the in-game trading post. The in-game trading post is a website, tradingpost-live.ncplatform.net.
