Guild Wars 2

I know that some ingredients for crafting are Account Bound, but then some of those account bound materials get turned into tradeable parts, and then those parts become other parts, and at some point I got lost in how much of crafting an Ascended Weapon is account bound stuff.

Would it be possible to buy the four final ingredients off the TP and skip the previous crafting steps? Or buy what you need off the TP to craft the four final ingredients?

I didn’t watch the livestream, but I can’t see it.

So far, all ascended items have been time gated currency, its just the currency this time is crafting materials.

If I understood correctly.

The unrefined account bound mats are from JPs/World Bosses/temple bosses/WvW keeps/camps/castles/etc.

Anyone with 450 in crafting can then refine these (I didn’t catch/don’t remember how much it takes) into a tradeable refined resource.

You use these refined resources to craft ascended weapons at 500.

That’s vaguely what I got, if you look at dulfy’s guide she took screen shots of various things and says what is and isn’t account bound.

I couldn’t see them making the same mistake twice. I mean legendaries already can be completely bought off the TP. You really think they didn’t take that into consideration when making the ascended weapons recipes? Of course it’s Anet so who knows. :P
