Hi guys,

Ive got a lot of gold together and am finished up on my exploration now, but what i need help with is deciding on which legendary i should choose, they are all equally used weps and equally amazing to me and i have different reasons why i would use them :C I already have twilight and bolt equiped to my mesmer.

Rodgort:
1 – would complete my build giving me a legendary in every wep slot
2 – dragons are cool
3 – design goes perfectly with the theme of my outfit
4 – extremely cheap pre saving me a lot of gold

Surise/eternity:
1 – Used to create eternity as my brother has it and he gets all teh attention :C darn his soul,
2 – eternity the ultimate legendary
3- very large footfalls
4- surise side doesnt go with my dark themed suit

Bifrost:
1 – used when needed to play defencively in place of the GS on my mesmer
2 – i gather bloodlust then switch to GS,
3 – goes really well with the mesmers effects
4 – when i switch to Staff instead of GS i have the crossing which makes my character look a little lackluster :C
5 – doesnt really go with the dark theme of my character

i equally want them all guys so please could you let me know what you would get in this situation?

Pick the one you will use most often. I don’t know jack about mesmer so I have no clue on that.

My guardian has eternity/bifrost/FSP/Meteor, but the latter two don’t get much attention at all. I regret it. I could have had an extra +5000g if I didn’t make them..

well you could argue that the GS gets used the most, but they are equally equiped the most and i stand in towns with the sword/torch

no no, i think vol is right, im gonna learn from his mistakes, if i get the torch i guess its over, i never need another weapon for my torch, ive always loved those weapons and made several different builds for them Thank you

Dual Bolt ftw

Imo eternity is the biggest waste of a legendary. You have to basically destroy 1 legendary to get a little glowing pommel and a little different footsteps. If I were you and you do make both swords, just keep them separate. Then you can either give one to another character or just swap them out depending if you are feeling evil or good that day. If one day they ever do buff eternity to be equal in stature to 2 combined legendaries, then I might think about it. Or just wait for the new set of legendaries to be released…whenever that is.

the chicken harp is FABULOUS

Bifrost. Clones shoot out rainbows + extra bounce trait =’s rainbow madness

If it not being dark really bugs you… you could always just use different dyes…

I have meteorlogicus and the bifrost for my ele, and sunrise for my mesmer. The bifrost is my absolute favorite. It was really designed nicely- you get soft rainbow footprints, a pretty aura, and it keeps moving while stowed. You should choose the weapon that you’ll use the most because you spend so much time and gold making it that you deserve to use it and [edit] stand in LA while everyone runs by you and nobody notices.

Sorry to burst your ego, but nobody else gives a kitten about a randoms shinies, it’s not 2012 anymore, legendaries don’t even cause people to turn their head any longer, and the more common ones have become invisible and no longer noticed.

“Showing off” a legendary would be getting the lessers ones such as Kamo, Kraitkin, Frenzy, Rodgort, Minstrel & Quip, rather than ones 10 people standing outside LA have equipped.

Hmm well, I haven’t been playing since 2012, so if legendaries were less common and harder to make then, I guess it was more spectacular to have one. I don’t care how you personally value legendaries. I know the time and effort put into mine, and I value them highly. I’m not spamming map chat with links of my weapons or constantly reminding people that I have them, like I’ve seen some people do. When I see another player with a legendary, I understand the effort they put forth. If they just bought gems to gold, hey they worked hard somewhere. I’m sure the person who made this thread would like it to be less about my ego, and more about helping him choose a legendary to make. Don’t you think so?

I’m in the same predicament! I use the staff a lot more than the great sword so obviously Bifrost would be great, but the effects of Twilight /Sunrise are great, however I only use great sword for power builds and PvE.

I already have Bolt which is pretty nice and Anomaly looks better than the Minstrel in my opinion.

I would say go with the legendary that you use more often. Also, don’t forget that Anet intends to release new skills (either weapons or utility skills, maybe even both!) and is why I’m debating about getting Meteorologicus

The Minstrel is the best pretty focus ever

Haters Gonna Hate, musical notes is the best choice for mesmer

Personally would take Bifrost – but then I think Rodgort is ugly (Zenith Flame > Rodgort) and Eternity way too flashy.

However if Rodgort suits your dark theme better, then by all means go for it!

hey dont worry about it, i understand completely what you mean, its not about rubbing it in peoples faces its about wanting to share the experience, its one of the reasons its took me so long to get started on my next legendary, all my guild members record their videos, (im not going to post my first its waaaaay too embarrassing xD) theres a lot of people who will just not be bothered with getting one and thats fine, its a game after all, but i think its unfair when they ridicule other people after all the extremely hard work they put in, a legendary becomes part of your character, and thank you guys for the comments

oh and i dont mean to insult you over minstrel but i was just a bit twisted over preferring anomaly, maybe its because im a mesmer.

Mind you, with Rodgort that you’re after it’s not really affected by any skills, it’s just…there.
