A Word of Advice
I have a GREAT story about stuff like this.
My guild party only had 4 members online, so we grabbed a pug. We ran CoF path 2 to the end, and he had been consistently underperforming and generally making the run a hassle for the rest of us (getting downed constantly etc.). When we got to the crystal at the end with the acolytes, he ran in and just started randomly killing them even after we told him to wait. Of course, this part ends up going painfully slow because he constantly interrupts the flow of the process (kill acolytes at roughly the same time, DPS crystal, repeat). We point out to him that we need to wait and kill together, and his only response is:
“Not my fault, sort it out, clowns.”
If there’s one thing we can’t stand, it’s bad manners. We immediately boot him. He rages to me over /w for the next 20 minutes while I laugh myself in to a coughing fit. I remember something about reporting us to Arenanet for exploits or something hilariously stupid.
Resident Thief
I did something like this, which I feel very remorseful till now.
I was in a CoF 2 group with one guy screwing things up at the acolyte part. I was so kitten pissed right after the boss is downed I left party WITHOUT REALIZING I WAS THE STARTER OF THE INSTANCE. Everyone got booted before they got anything.
It was my fault. Everyone else in the group was fine except him. I tried contacting the rest but everyone was using long toon names I couldn’t remember any of those. (And for some reason the game erases party chat log when you leave party ._.)
So if you happened to be in that party, I sincerely apologize
