AC difficult after update? Come on, ele 3way.
congrats.. but just to be clear: most of the discussions focus around path 3 rumblus and bugged grast. or path 2 and a bugged ghost eater.
I don’t think I’ve read many complaints about path 1, this one is still pretty easy and perfectly doable (though no longer for lowlvl)
thx for the reply. if it’s so, than we will give path 3 a try too. keep you guys up to date^^

THAT I’d love to see (please don’t speed it up too much, last video was to fast to see how you played). if you find a reliable way to interrupt CR or get grast to cast his bubble, I’d love to try it out myself.
Ok. yes its wasn’t me who filmed, but next vids i will shoot myself
and, any news yet? =)
I’m still asking in nearly every thread for people to post a video of doing rumblus successfully with interrupts, because I couldn’t get it to work after the so called fix. if they really fixed it, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, no defiant, interrupt is displayed, defiant gets up againt, but rocks still fall and kill everyone.

Why interrupt? You get the most damage time while Rumblus is screaming away. Find a way to make sure Grast lives to cast and casts his bubble.

because I’ve only seen him once casting the bubble in time. I usually give him stability
to survive the first 2 rocks (if you’re lucky and only two hit him), while he still winds up his hammer attack.
but if he doesn’t start casting the shield immediately after, he and everybody is gonna be dead. then you can try to ress him, where he charges in with 50% health and dies if 2 rocks hit. If you give him regen/protection he can hold out a second or two longer, but not long enough for his hammer attack to complete and start casting the shield.
but ok, if you see a way to make him cast the bubble in time, please share. I don’t really care which way, I’d just like to see a clean run using normal tactics (interrupts, something to keep grast alive, w/e) without being to dependent on certain classes.
I have been asking in several threads where people, like you in this thread, show up and claim how little of a problem it all is, to submit a video. I haven’t seen one so far.

It’s a problem, for sure, no one can argue that. Mainly because of his wind-up hammer attack that he MUST complete before he puts up his shield. If he gets interrupted/knocked down/knocked back during the animation for that particular skill, then your party is most likely going to need to reset. He will just run back to Rumblus, and repeatedly try that hammer strike until it’s successful, as if it’s part of a chain required to summon the bubble.
The best stability option here is Hallowed Ground. AoE buffs were patched to be shared with all party members in range before npcs/summons, all of which being capped at 5. So Hallowed Ground makes it easiest to ensure Grast actually receives the stability boon.
If you’re feeling particularly enthusiastic, quickness helps also (he executes that annoying hammer swing quicker, moving to the bubble sooner). But that’s more difficult to get to apply to Grast over the rest of the party.
Make sure your group has good damage along with that particular utility set up (2 Guardians is better than 1 here) and Rumblus should die within 2 of Grast’s bubbles.

yeah, so pretty much what I said: either very specific class composition (guardians/mesmer) or you’re screwed. I don’t doubt it’s possible with a group tailored for this fight. I’m saying I’d like to see a group of random classes to succeed here.
we already have an incredibly boring dungeon forcing people into certain group compositions (4warr/1mes), if ac now becomes a 2 wars, 1 mes, 2 zerker guardians, that bodes ill for the rest of the dungeon overhauls.
I’m all for a difficult fight, as long as difficulty isn’t determined by ‘have class x with you’ or ‘find a bug’. if I’m not a good enough player, I can accept that, but that hasn’t been an issue so far in dungeons.
