I think that’s an excellent drop rate.
I did Shards of Orr well over 250 times and only earned one BDS to myself, perhaps 3 to strangers. I did FoWSC hundreds more and only saw two Obby Edge to myself, maybe another 4 to strangers.
Strictly comparing this “per capita” to GW2, it does make GW1 drops seem a lot higher, but you must also consider the condition that TP brings to the game: that is, everything will always be worth a lot less than if players had to sit in town spamming WTS. Reason being is that the listings dont disappear when you get tired of spamming. Every seller is always selling all the time. This dilutes the market with surpluss and naturally makes even very rare items (Charged Lodestone) worth a pittance.
So with that taken into account, drop rates in this game require adjustment to maintain the prestige in what should be prestigious items. There are numerous skins that drop from only specific areas or foes, and if you look many of them up (I dont remember them but I do know that Shatterer and Jormag have boss-specific skins/weapons), they’re not worth a whole lot.
Even Genesis, Entropy, Cobalt, etc, were devalued quickly after their release due to the amount of people in total opening champ boxes, finding them, and listing on TP.
And finally, this may still be to your benefit because it’s not often you stumble across 200g in an item, precursors aside, so if you do happen to be the name pulled out of the RNG hat, I’d say it’s better to be RNGed 200g instead of 20g.
