Daily raids possibilities.
Because legendary armour requires them and they want it time gated. Nuff said?
There really is no reward currently to incentivize working with our helping others on content after you are shard and insight capped each week.
Jenna Gracen – Scrapper && Merit Sullivan – Guardian
Daenerys Ceridwen – Druid && Vexia Gracen – Chronomancer
The issue is that existing rewards are balanced around the weekly reset. A change to a daily would change this to needing to be changed and would likely force players to raid every day in order to maintain the same rewards they get now on a weekly basis. Drop rates would likely be lowered as well. You can also be certain that insights and magnetite acquisition would be adjusted.
I would agree that the idea of daily quests/rewards (or additional weekly quests/rewards) for raids would be cool, but I don’t see why legendary insights would have anything to do with it. Legendary insights exist purely as a timegated legendary armor crafting material. As it happens the raiding community has assigned some value to them otherwise, but it seems silly to remove the timegate aspect of them – the entire reason they were created in the first place – so that pug groups can maybe possibly use them to judge people they’ve never met more accurately.
As far as other daily/weekly rewards for raids, it would be pretty nice. It’s true that there is little incentive to raid more than once a week other than the content itself. I would like to see weekly challenges or something that you could do in addition to the clear that were more difficult than the normal bosses. “Defeat the Vale Guardian with X:XX left on the clock”; “Defeat Matthias without being stunned during the downpour phase”; “Defeat the Keep Construct with only 3 burn phases”; etc.
That’s this “timegate” side of legendary inside that bothers me, they do not reflect the involvement of a player, but how many weeks he could do raids. Making Lis daily would reflect more the investment of a player. I don’t understand why a guy that does one Matthias in 7 days should be as rewarded as a guy who does it 3 times.
