Because Necromancers are stupidly OP.

At the very least they could make them account bound. >.> It’s really annoying to get Superior Runes on a character that can’t use them, but that I could use on another. (I’ve resorted to only running AC on my Elementalist, for example.)

Here’s something you can do: bind the rune to a piece of common or fine armor, which will make the armor account bound. Put it into your bank. Use a master or BL salvage kit to extract the rune into the inventory of your desire character.

Very interesting! But is stupid, and expensive, that we have to do this iter to make it “account bound”.

He hasn’t been a dev since a long time ago so he likely won’t be leaving an update.

I posted two posts in game bugs and general discussion last week. No response, no one cares. The runes will remain soulbound.

A year later and we still have the runes soulbond, plz make them account bound it would not hurt anyone and would make a lot more sense as well.

Can you Mystic Forge them, or does it just give you something soulbound back? I have 2 superiors that I was thinking of trying in the forge rather than just sell for 2s or destroy.

You can’t mystic forge the superior runes. Just sell them.
But there is a workaround to make them “accountbound” if you want the rune for a different character. Simply put them into a blue item. This will cause the item to become accountbound. Give it to the character that needs the rune and salvage or transmute. Not great but better than nothing.

I tend to have 4 or 5 different types of soulbound runes on each of my alt (monk, sanctuary, baelfire, forge, …), and it starts to take a lot of places. Account bound would be fine. Or allow 4 superior runes in the mystic forge to get another superior one.

Dungeon armor and weapons became account bond on acquire, runes are still soulbound. Seems odd.

That this got done at all was Hrouda’s doing considering how low priority it was, so I am at least thankful for that! In loving memory… :<

Stop. pls. I can’t take much more of this. Hrouda…. our angel is long gone. His wings clipped by the cruel hands of living story and his halo tossed away to lowly players as a cheap trinket
