Stick to fractals 49 and 50, if you play ranger. The lower levels often attract dungeon filth that don’t know how to use the dodge button, cant handle basic mechanics like healing, walking out of red circles, or moving out of range when they get hit hard. They’ll blame you (or anyone else) when they have trouble. Kicking you last minute is trashy, for any reason.

Most people who say they get kicked often aren’t telling us the whole truth. I played over 2.5hours and got kicked once be cause I produced a huge FAIL.

Generally, those people are either rude, misbehave or are very bad players who – that’s the most important thing – won’t listen. As already mentioned, many ranger players are so bad it hurts, if you observe them in open world, they usually run around as bearbows, not knowing how bad the bear is (yeah there are some bosses you can faceroll with it which is cool).

The constant spamming of lonbow 4 and always ranged combat just hurts. There are warriors, guardians among others who attract bad playstyle but I think it is most prominent for the ranger class since you can troll so easily, people just don’t know and use all skills on cooldown. I sometime observe other players during events and there are so many just spamming auto attack, it’s just horrible.

Perhaps it is because I stick to the 1-9 bracket (still afraid of agony), but as a Ranger I have never been kicked from a fractal (or even a dungeon). Perhaps pugs appreciate a class that can effortlessly solo thurmanova fractal boss? Of course I’m running frostspotter and I start with my sword out(and I never knockback with the longbow). Try bringing a fern hound, pugs seem to appreciate the extra healing more than the might from my cat.

But seriously, I have even been the bad ranger, forgot to stow pet, forgot to put on guard for certain bosses, ect. And nobody has even suggested kicking me in a dungeon or fractal. Are you sure the problem isn’t you?

And here I was, thinking that this thread was about rangers being hated as the flavour of the month. God was I wrong.

And I’d like to add that saying “rangers are bad” and “players that picked ranger in my parties were terribad” is slightly different.
