OK I know I am a bozo but can some explain how gw2lfg works? its all server in a region so how can I find people on my server? Or, can you do a dungeon with people from other servers too – but if so how do you party-up??
All this new-fangled gadgetry is a little beyond me!

All players can whisper and party with anyone other player from other servers. You can’t see them because they are on another server though. However, you can whisper to them and join their parties. Once you enter a dungeon with people from different servers, they will all get a pop up to teleport into your dungeon so that you can complete it together.

When you see the name on the site and you wish to join his/her party, just do a “/join [name, including spaces, without the square bracket]” (e.g. “/join Captain Marvel”) in-game (any chat channel). You will automatically be issuing a join request to the person if their party is not full, and they can accept or reject you.

A couple unmentioned things as well:
-NA and EU players/servers can’t mix, make sure you are on the right tab for your region (standard NA believe)
-The Level input is typically only used for Fractals of the Mist (could change though), often unless stated it is assumed level 80 for explorable dungeons, story mode may vary.
—-In particular to FotM listings, level refers to the fractal level players seek to play, not to be confused with player level. Typically assumed level 80 for fractals.
