Just did CoE and the rewards are pretty fine
CoE gives a lot of Orbs too, which ties into another discussion being had on the forums about Amalg Gemstones.
I honestly don’t think dungeon rewards are so bad as you guys make it sound. Sure the liquid reward isn’t the best, but considering you can easily sell the t6 mats and the rare items on TP, it does stack up and feel quite fine. Wouldn’t you agree?
In relation to the rewards given from HoT map meta participation, not really. Even more so if you have maxed crafting and can craft ascended crafting materials; the sheer amount of garbage items that pile up in your bags gets salvaged into a lot of elder wood, mithril, silk and leather.
When I got fed up with hot meta events, I went and did 2 speed clear dungeon runs with friends. We were fast. And after each of those two runs, I salvaged everything, tallied up everything… and got to 1.2g per hour.
Now that doesnt sound too bad, and you can waste your time ingame even more than on dungeons. But… you can also spend your time at least 5 times more productive in this game.
Just doing centaur events in harathi / kessex / gendarran gives you more rewards.
Sorry mate, face it… dungeons are out, open world is the way to go atm.
Got around 28 gold in less than an hour by doing full coe and full ta. Dungeon recipes and dungeon specific drops are my main money printers.

Speed clear? 1.2g after selling everything? Even if you took 1 hour to do arah p2 (which take 10 minute with a group, not even trying too hard) you would have made a minimum of 2g (1.26 g pure and at leasy 0.74 fron salvaging drops)
Speed running dungeon is now even faster than before, and dungeon recipe are worth 2x more. Even without the recipe, you should be making around 7-8 gold and hour.
Every mats went up, meaning your green and blue trash aren’t trash anymore.
I have all the dungeon recipe, replicator included, full dungeon tour (around 2 hours) nets me around 40 gold (replicator excluded) which is more than I used to get.

Well when it takes you an hour to clear a path, what do you expect?
Wow, the ability to read and comprehend is really on a decline in this forum.
After the whole run… meaning…. after doing… you know… hard to believe but really… doing ALL dungeons that were commonly done before dungeon nerf each day… you know… like CoE 1-3, TA 1-2, AC 1-3, SE 1+3, CoF 1-3, Arah 1-4, CM 1-3…. I tallied up liquid gold + salvaged stuff. Divided that tally through time spent running all dungeons… and got 1.2g per hour. I did not take tokens into account, because that depends on the level dungeons you run and what you actually want to do with those.
Those drops you are so proud of… they didnt really make a dent at all. You have to get really lucky to get something like a charged lodestone, to make coe worth your time. But then, you have more chances getting one from crafting materials bags you get thrown to death with in hot open world.
Please keep deluding yourself into thinking dungeons are worth your time. It keeps you out of my way while you do them.
How freakin long does it take you to do a full tour o.O
@Yasi are you guys doing 1 dungeon path per hour?
.. Even if you just run 3 paths in 1 hour, you already got 1g5s liquid gold, not counting any salvage, which will surely be more than 1.2g you’re saying.
I’m a casual player, but even running dungeons 4-man with my casual mates I can get at least 3 AC / CoE paths in an hour. I assume dedicated dungeon farmers can run at least double that.

As others have pointed out, the math just does not add up, by far not add up.
The liquid rewards alone would be more than the 1.2g. Now there might be multiple reasons for your gold earned being low:
- not taking into account for breaks in between runs. those 5-10 minutes breaks between different paths add up fast
- not being speed clear runs. yeah those 20 minute AC runs sure are speed runs…
- you need to brush up your math skills
Biggest problem with your 1.2g number, and this was pointed out, the bare minimum dungeon liquid gold reward is already higher per hour than 1.2g (https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dungeon). So no way you did speed runs and got less than the bare minimum reward.
Pug speed runs are slower than all welcome groups because speed runners will never find a group.
He probably did one path an hour with most of his time in LFG because he couldn’t succeed in all welcome groups.

This alone tells us that you are having no clue of what you are talking about!
Every dungeon path you mentioned nets you with at least 60 tokens on the first run of the day. Always! Beyond that you can get a minor number of tokens in addition out of bags.
