And all who stood by and did nothing, who are they to criticize the sacrifices of others?
Our blood has bought their lives.
Agreed. It’s indeed a pity that Gw2, like other games, has very static and predictable dungeons that make speedrunning very viable after a while, with so many walkthroughs and vids on wiki’s and youtube.
Every PvE content is predictable, due to it’s static nature. It’s an MMO, not an FPS multiplayer game.
I’m always hoping some game developer or other designes dungeons with randomized groups of mobs and bosses – to make it a different challenge every time.
One can hope …So you kill AC troll with every random pug whenever it spawns? Sure.
I think the idea of the OP is that things like ignoring the Troll don’t happen. I’m sure ANet didn’t create the Troll to be ignored and to be honest, it is quite a fun fight. Pugs used to stack and dps usually get killed and don’t want to do it for just a green and a blue so they just run pass him. I’m always down for killing the troll when it spawns.
Great for you, glad to hear it. I’m not sure why you keep trying to convince everyone of your moral superiority because you always kill an optional boss, because I don’t know a single person who cares.
People in this game and specifically on this forum do things for the challenge. Look at the solos, duos, naked runs, etc. The pug community might only be interested in speed (this is not my experience, though) but really… that’s not indicative of the rest of us. Meet me in an AC pug (well, okay, I never run AC because it’s not worth my time but let’s say I end up in your AC pug). Troll spawns. You say, let’s kill the troll. I say, sure, but why don’t we do it after the instance is over if the rest of our party mates aren’t interested, that way we are doing something we find fun without inconveniencing our party mates. However, if 2 people in a party say “let’s kill x” the rest will follow like the lemmings they are. Human nature, brah.

Moral superiority? because I like killing bosses in a dungeon? I think you take this to seriously; I’m merely tossing out my personal opinion on how I enjoy my video games… I will never judge a person for how they enjoy theirs. We can discuss for centuries but it will never reach personal level, for me at least.
Back to topic, I think the OP got his answer, no need to derail any further.
I still run dungeons for fun, gold too, but mainly for fun. I still randomly feel like watching a cut scene for some of the better ones, like “Can you taste colors?”. Its been almost 2 years and I STILL giggle when Troffa says KABOOM!. Ask Dlonie, you can even hear me in Gamevox saying, “c’mon say Kaboom”
