Has anyone figured out where you can get the Gift of Infinity or Gift of Fractals for the Legendary back piece?

When do those name come from ? source please

Legendary fractal backpiece is locked behind fractal leaderboards so I guess they are not in the game yet.

looks like iv been wasting my time doing fractals for the ad infinitum collection.
Looks like anets new manifesto locks most players out of the new best in slot gear.

No one knows. They tried to make them 2 years ago or so but later abandoned the idea because it is very stupid. And now they want to make them again because why not.

I should have known the last part to making the legendary backpack would be backed behind a gold sink like all the other legendaries.

The idea wasn’t stupid. In fact it was one of the most player requested features. And one of the playerbases biggest gripes has been the fact that its still not in the game yet. If there adding it this month"which they have said there doing" then its a good thing.

What exactly is good about fractal leaderboards? It’s just a way for organized groups to measure their e – peen compared to other organized groups. Nothing good really comes from it. The only thing it might do is stop the more decent players from playing with pubs because they fear they’ll hold them back.

As far as I can tell, it’s unknown how the Gift of Infinity and the Gift of the Fractals are obtained. Neither are in the game yet. I’d also be curious to see the source for that recipe, though. Datamined perhaps?

Would be nice if they were even available ingame yet, since a lot of people are coming up on their last dailies soon to finish unbound, not to mention those that already have it done. Hopefully, when the fractal update actually hits this month it’ll include the final step and its components.

The recipe I found off the GW2 Wiki page, hence I was curious if anyone already finished their Unbound and was able to craft the back piece Ad Infinitum. A shame that these components have not been introduced yet since I am finishing my last dailies for Unbound tomorrow and have been saving up mats to create the Legendary back piece. Let’s hope these components will be introduced with the upcoming Fractal changes later this month.

Looking by the recipe, unbound isn’t hard to craft. The thing that bothers me is that we need 5 Balls of Dark Energy. I mean, I’ve enough ascended armors/weapons to savage but that’s expensive.
We can also savage amulets or accessories but what’s the best way to get them ? I’d say the amulets purchased from WvW Laurel Merchant for 20 Laurels and 250 Badges of Honor or the 30 laurels ones. Are there better ways ?

Salvaging the first two tiers of the backpiece should yield you a 100 percent chance of 5 balls each. I salvaged both tiers and got 10 total ( 5 and 5 ) and this also was the same case for 2 other guildies of mine. Not sure if this helps but
