Precursors from dungeons?
The dungeon loot update patch. You can get precursors from most large chests (Dungeon Explorable modes, Dragons, possibly World events, Temples, Jumping puzzles) now. Slim, slim chance, but it’s there.

Very. Mobs can also drop them, but that’s…well…let’s not go into how lucky you’d have to be. Basically if it can drop an exotic, it can drop a precursor in that exotic slot.
Ive heard of people getting them in Fractals, but never in the other dungeons before.
I’ll be farming Twilight Arbor from now til forever, I know how that is Raven.

I’m happy; I just got a exotic jewelry recipe from Twilight Arbor. Ring sells for ~20g a pop, get 1 per 3 daily runs. Good times.

Why does it seem like only TA gets the good stuff…
Because we have to put up with exploding flowers, that’s why.

Mmmm, not rly. The dungeons (as any other pve content) always have a chance to drop Precursors. One friend loot the hunter in CoF if i dont remember bad. And other friend (that i hate soo much) got 2 Dusks, one in spider AC drop, and the other in TA worm chest. And that 3 precursors drop before the dungeon patch. The chance always exist.
My friend got a precursor from a boss in AC, and if it can happen there, it can happen anywhere.

The chance is pretty slim. All mobs (including invader in WvW) can drop a precursor. You can get precursor from chest also (especially chest from claw of jormag (although its also very slim)). The only chest which give precursor in large number is ancient chest from one time event ancient karka.
