Guild Wars 2

Just wanted to have some fun exploring this fractal at my own pace, just to learn different tactics, routes etc. But after downing the 1st gate I decided to take it a step further.

Sadly with the last image I wasn’t able to vanquish Captain Ashym. Came close, but of course as the saying goes, “close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.” >.>

you could probably solo it with a little build changeup for the final boss.

NPC’s can be revived directly from dead with skills that normally only work on downed.
The captain does not apply agony with his greatsword. (at least, not that ive ever seen)

The NPC’s will generally speaking all be dead from the AoE of the non-greatsword captain (which is easily dodgeable from long-range, but the NPC’s are all melee)
However, once the captain whips out the greatsword, you can rez the NPC’s with a revival skill (I believe rangers have a specific spirit that does this?) and they will tank, and usually kill the captain for you at that point.

That boss is suicide to melee at the start. However, once the NPC’s are down meleeing him is fine and yes, he can be soloed so long as you pay attention. Of course it takes a bit with his perma-retaliation buff.

Regardless, nice to see you had a bit of of fun.

Between the colors and lighting I thought the first image was a pack of rats attacking a gate. :p
