Amen, it hurts to watch those runs. I hope someone with a skill level like Sesshi or slightly lower would invest some time to blow up those records I’ve seen over the last days.

I don’t see the need of doing yet another condi necro video, especially not underwater where condi nec is absolute trash. lol
The problem with this is that everyone and their mother picks up a necro, doesn’t even know how to properly make use of traits and whatnot, goes in with half a bar full of defensive utility such as rise, slowly gets the HP down while staying at range and then calls it a record.
While they’re not technically wrong as long as there isn’t anything faster uploaded and approved, especially in a speedrun community participatants and “judges” alike should strive to set a quality standard. With all those cheap necro runs this is currently not given and on top of that makes the class look even more faceroll than it actually is, which in turn makes more people who watch this play the class wrong, snowball effect yadda yadda
Also, as a note, I’m not directing this just at the OP, but rather mention this in general in response to the influx of condi nec solos which lately surfaced.
I thought I was supposed to approve based on rules. So far there seems to be no rule stating some kind of an arbitrary quality requirement. Also during the last 12 months only a few people did records so in my opinion the current situation is much better. We just need even more activity to improve quality of the runs.
The quality standard is: upload the fastest time. No one is going to watch a video of a 20 minute fight and walk away thinking, “wow, that’s how I should play all the time.” Clever players will, as you did, see all the ways the time could be improved and less experienced folks will learn a trick or two… or not.
Alternatively, you can create your own website with its own rules for speed runs, and collect (and approve) runs there.
Condi necros are a thing because they dish out tons of damage while being really sturdy: the video isn’t going to generate more of them; it’s a result of condi necro being used by so many people.
In other words, gz to the OP. And challenge offered to necros using “higher quality” builds to complete the instance more quickly.
