If you are right about this, then it has to be 0.000001% influence or something, try out going to karka island, put feedback over a young one, note a non crit hit, then take off all your armor and do the same, I’d be surprised if you see any difference (apart from maybe the scholar runes effect ofcourse)

There’s really any point in arguing feedback here, the fault is Anet boss design and in particular, their attacks.

Lupi isnt the only one that does this, there are plenty others. These specific kinds of overpowering attacks should punch through both reflect and block. We got dodge, harder difficulty wouldnt hurt.

Except when you go with a random group, i can dodge most boss attacks and maybe you can the same but you would be surprised how many cant and just stand still behind wall of reflection because they don’t know how to dodge at all.

Yep, just like Old Tom, siege weapons in WvW, and plenty of other places where such precedent exists. I don’t think the unblockable projectile functionality should be too prevalent, but I do think GL would be a better fight if it were the case for him.

How about we just nerf the damage output of anybody who has participated in a sub-45 second Lupicus kill? They’re the only ones doing it. I don’t see why 99.9% of the game population has to be impacted because of the shenanigans of like 40 people.

Didn’t you somewhere list it with 1,56 million? My feedback had 17 hits, 33k each. Thats 561k damage which is 35%. In an average group it would have mostlikely been 22k hits or less. So with lots of reflects (hitting max. 20) it would be about 30%.

Oh so 35% is perfectly fine for what was intended to be an endgame boss to shoot itself for because a reflect bubble was up?

How about they reduce the number of projectiles he does by, say half? So SOLO and other groups can’t bypass phase 2 and 3 anymore. They’ll still kill him in under 60 seconds, but this change won’t make the fight even harder for non-hardcore groups. In fact it’ll be easier for the general populace, but harder for record-setters. Win-win for all of you so offended by the fact that 4 guilds can clear him this quickly.

It doesn’t bother me that players can beat him so quickly. I actually sort of wish he were harder so more pubs would fail and be forced to play better or stop trying. I love having a boss that people think of fondly as “that boss that is insanely tough”. That in itself is part of why GL is such a meaningful target for these speed clear groups, and not something else like L48 Fractal Grawl boss or whatever. That’s all why I really like the idea of making his projectiles unblockable.

I think Lupi is about at the right level as it is right now. No need to change anything and no need to nerf anything.
For those who wanted to nerf this & that, there are 3 sources to this problem: Total magnitude of projectiles, Lupi’s health and reflection capacity. Now why is it to change one but not the others or all 3 togethers?

People are too serious of their knowledge.

Good luck even getting him into phase 2 in 4 seconds… I Think solo is doing it the best way possible. Although they did say there room for improvement I don’t think we will ever see lupi down in under 15 seconds. Who knows though.

I went in and did some testing with some friends; we only managed to get one big burst out of maybe 20 tries. It could be due to our lack of understanding, I really don’t know. I’ll attach the screen of the Mesmers damage log from that, though. It took Malrona from 100% to around 30%.

Based on the hit we managed to do with Feed back, I imagine you could easily do a sub-8 second Malrona. The trick would be to figure out how to replicate making your Feed back hit that hard If anyone knows how, sharing is caring ^^

Btw, reflects are fair and balanced.

I’m assuming random groups = pug groups. In which case there will always be those ranging at 1200 range. In which case some projectiles aiming far away will go over the wall down them. And yes around half of the pugs I’ve met at 38 don’t avoid circles.

Ed: Strife’s video has him hitting her with sword auto for about 1000 before poison, and about 4000-5000 after poison with some might stacks.

Actually Laurent might be a more interesting speed kill since he doesn’t kill himself with feedback and you have to avoid a lot of annoying knockdown attacks. Others that might be interesting and can’t be done in a single time warp:

minus 561,000 from feedback leaves 895,820 HP to drain from regular attacking over 21 seconds. Minus 5 seconds of invulnerability is 895,820/16 seconds or 55,988 per second from the party (increased damage from TW spread out for the average).

Yeah, throw an Engineer, Guardian, and Ranger in there instead of 4 warriors. They could definitely do better. /s
