I’m sick and tired. I want just find some party and actually DO dungeon, but thats all what i see in LFG

I really need to learn to solo Arah. All that gold.

I completely agree with you, something must be done about dungeons sellers, it’s really annoying when someone ask you to pay when they are at Lupicus or when they are at Last Boss, the most ridiculous was 20g per slot for Arah P4, the real problem is that they are many in LFG especially when you search for Arah. What i hate is that dungeon master means nothing now, and even if they have nerfed the dungeons, people still ruin these by selling spots, after that you can’t deny how much GW2 is casual and easy. Yet there’s also an other problem, this one concern people that kick you or hate you because you have less than 3k AP, that’s really elitist if you ask me.

“Ruin” what? If there’s many people selling, that means there is a lot of demand for it. Your endless forum/reddit crying won’t help or change anything. We are good people.

Those groups/individuals selling slots wouldn’t just magically turn into “LFM people to carry through Arah” posts if slot selling was somehow prevented.

dungeon master never meant anything, only that you have enough time to sit through crap like SE P2 and HOTW P2/3 and Arah P4.

also people who kick based on AP are kittened. I know good players with ~2k AP who are better than many of the 7k+ trash pugs that I run into sometimes.

Without the demand for people willing to pay, you wouldn’t see any parties in that screenshot.

If there was no demand, there would be no sellers. It’s entirely the fault of people who take sellers up on their offers that this exists. Like guang said, be angry at the people who are too lazy to do the dungeon rather the people taking money from willing fools.

Also, why should you care if someone is willing to pay to finish a dungeon? is someone forcing you to join against your will?

Ah yes, the tried and true way of rushing people through content to make ingame currency…has been around since GW1. Personally, I wasn’t fond of it back then either, but I don’t actually care if it’s done.
As has been said before, blame the demand.

As others have said, the paths sellers are the final result of the expression of an unmet need.

FWIW, I sell SE p2 all day but no one wants to buy.

since they nerfed arah p4 2 times back in february the dungeon master title is worth nothing.

I’m actually surprised that nobody has made complaint threads about the kittenING STUPIDITY of GW2 NPCs. Have we not all suffered enough of Spire’s cringeworthy stupidity, of Magg’s annoying voice and refusal to cross lava fields properly, and of Hodgins, Tzark and Detha, the Trinity of Uselessness?!

The LFG tool is just plain excrements and rushed. There isn’t even a godkitten black list option so you can filter out the idiots one by one, slowly but at least somewhat steady.

I agree, i think all the sellers ruin the experience. I think it’s wrong selling runsand would like an Anet response to this knowing if its ok or not, if not woots keeping me and my guild from occupying a Sparkfly Fen server and Sell Teq runs and Taxi over for gold? It’s wrong. But it IS abusing the LFG tool since all you see there is Sell Arah for 25g… Please Anet say something on the matter to clear the waters and settle this once and for all.

Anet has been sent many videos outlining which exploits are used and how they are used. If they really wanted to fix them, they would have done it months ago. The problem is, Anet has no dungeon team dedicated to fixing/ creating new dungeons therefore these “exploits” are still in use.

That’d actually be great. Also, if the first asura boss is fixed, another bit of the leftover 5% would disappear, because people probably can’t handle killing that one without exploiting and those kind of people most likely glitch lupicus with flowers(? or something) too.

I’m more curious about those that buy paths. Is it done for the title? Is it done for the tokens?

It would be interesting to see a few people post here who have or would buy a dungeon path to get their point of view on it.

Both. I have about 20-25 customers that asked to add me to their friendslist + are really grateful for me selling them the spots, because that saves them time and braincells as they’ve told me and they need the tokens/title, as your average arah Pug is just plain, straight up terrible.

I even taught some of them how i solo arah p2(sometimes p3) without exploits some days, because i am a nice person if i don’t get trolled by kittened people.

The existence of “supply and demand” is just too OP and should be nerfed!

I think the OP has misdirected anger.

You should be upset at the people who pay, as they are the only reason that sellers are selling.

As to everybody else, I think what he’s complaining about is that he wants a normal party. He wouldn’t really care about the sellers, except for this is actually taking away from people who would normally try the dungeon. Say 20 people at the time want to do arah, but 10-15 are willing to buy the path, that only leaves 5-10 people actually willing to give it a go.

This is a classic case of “someone else is getting what they want when I am not”. You sir are the one who ruins dungeons.

@haviz.1340 You would have to ask A-net about bannings. Players don’t have access to that information. Afaik they don’t release that info though… so sorry your question will probably go unanswered.

@coronaas They apologized for that employee (no proof that I know of was shown they were a dev, just that they had an a-net tag). Iirc, he didn’t say they were exploiting, just that they were ruining his game mode. They were just in game and weren’t speaking for gw2 officially.

The part I dislike is that in the end, they are STILL benefiting from the rewards for completing the dungeon AND your gold too (also considering the fact that if you aren’t a scrub, you assisted them in completing the dungeon). So basically, you are paying them for their time/expertise AND the opportunity to earn gold using your assistance. It’s a bit of a scam IMO.

I dont think its unreasonable to ask for gold of players who join in and get free tokens and rewards for doing nothing but joining at the end of the dungeon. We deserve extra rewards for soloing/duoing the content.

I agree, and afaik it’s not against the rules to do so. However the LFG tool is not the place for selling anything, including dungeon runs. It’s not what these players are doing, but how/where they are doing it that’s the problem. Just like it’s not against the rules for me to sell a dusk. If I use the LFG tool to sell the dusk, that’s abusing the LFG.

You are very wrong and it seems to me that you never solo any path on sale so you have no idea what’re you talking about. It’s piece of cake for those could do solo & duo and they can complete the dungeon w/o any assistance of any buyers. As a matter of fact, the buyer can just afk & doing nothing to get the end reward.

This is probably the correct solution to the “problem”, with the bonus that it encourages and rewards higher level of play.

No I hate the people who abuse stuff like this. Just because the exploit exists doesnt mean its ok to use it. I wish anet would be as strict as other MMO companies about exploits and keep the ban hammer swinging.
Most of these exploits are so obvious an exploit, that there is no excuse for doing them.

That doesn’t change what I said. Even AFK, the buyer is paying you to earn dungeon rewards on top of what he’s paying you. How your doing it is not relevant. If your doing it solo, that’s your problem (I don’t consider that an efficient approach to making gold with this opportunity). I’m not calling you out for taking advantage of the system, but let’s be honest about what this is. Your not fooling people by denying it.
