Suggestion: Boss Fractal

No thanks. The time rolling for swamp is long gone and I’d like to keep it that way. I do however greatly enjoyed the concept of Chaos Isles and they could easily keep going in that direction adding “random” dungeon bosses and encounters to multiple or a single fractal. Even have the bosses drop like a coffer of 60 tokens or something.
They need to greatly increase the numbers on the bosses though since 97% of all the dungeon bosses are bursted down within 1 breakbar.
I dont think they need to change Molten bosses by making it 6 minutes longer no matter how well you play. But they could change the mechanics of the fight making it more engaging without making it artificially longer.
Now for the suggestion of a random boss fractal i think it would be a really good idea, it could replace the button “Random fractal” as probably no one is using it.
What would be fun for a random boss fractal would be something where you enter and there is three rooms you have to complete, and each room has a random encounter chosen from a pool of encounters that show up anywhere in the game. So one time while going through the fractal you might fight: Kholer, Lupi, Subject Alpha. The next time your randoms might be: Frost, mounds from AC, and Forge Master (Sorrows Embrace story boss). And than each boss would drop like 20 tokens for that dungeon. Would be a great change of pace to the game.
I can see it. A player complains they are tired of farming the shortest fractal so Anet decides to not make it the shortest fractal and make it a 20 minute run.

Chaos fractal isn’t a copy. It’s a mashup. (According to ANet, the artwork is the part that takes the least time for a new fractal.)

I want it to change because I am getting tired of the repetitiveness. If it is still the shortest and easiest fractal, Boss fractal loses its entire point.

Boss Fractal is special because I intend it to be the farming fractal rather than the Molten bosses.

Because of the idea that it’s easier to make and therefor a more reasonable request. “just, you know, copy paste Giganticus Lupicus code and past it into a new file” Thing is we have no idea if it’s actually easier and I know in other games it’s like taking 5% of the work out reusing some old data vs making new stuff. Putting all the cogs and wheels together is what takes time.

Boss Fractal is special because I intend it to be the farming fractal rather than the Molten bosses.
Anet doesn’t ever explicitly encourage farming in their design choices. Their solution to the problem you’ve stated (molten boss farming is boring) would be to simply make molten boss farming either less rewarding or take longer.
