Those aren’t from dailies, you have maybe 30-40 from dailies over the span of the entire game so far. The rest of those you got recently from the AP chests which will basically end in a couple weeks. Also plenty of people can get in 3-4 different paths in under an hour.

Yes, I realize. I never said that all 200 stones were from my dailies.

Say 3 paths. ~200 tokens in an hour. ~3 hours for ~600 tokens. Is still 300 hours of my life I have to devote to use up all my MF stones. This is also gated by the fact that not all dungeon paths are equal (i.e. can’t devote 10 hours per day) so this process will take months.

There’s also the opportunity cost of the MF stones. You can use them for rare weapons as well (What I’ve been doing) or make MF kits, which only take 3 and have 250 uses (which last quite a while for me.) It’s not like the MF stones have some other use. So might as well toss them into the MF, right? That’s their whole function.

Regardless though, I’m not sure what your point is. I don’t really disagree with you, but I still stand by my original statement that getting exotics and tossing them into the MF with MF stones is almost as competitive as salvaging rares for ectos.

Glacial is tied to Corrupted on it’s main legendary Molten is tied to destroyer on it’s main legendary.

Glacial and Molten cores have similar price and quantities. Molten core’s primarily come from CoF farmers hence the crashed price this is also true for onyx (TA farmers) now why are there so many Glacial Cores?

Glacial to Molten have roughly the same demand. They are both used in 2 popular legendaries both used in a water weapon legendary. Molten core is also used in the warhorn which is one of the least popular of all.

Where do all the glacial cores come from then? Answer: players that have a far bigger impact on the economy then cof farmers ever had through non-legit methods.

(Also in the end I’m sure the exponentially biggest gold pump into the economy is just credit card gem > gold conversions.)

FoTM was solid gold when it first came out (not cof but close). It took a massive loot nerf around the same time they made agony on maw unavoidable.

I know 26+ used to rain rares and core till that patch.

We can agree or disagree why certain cores are so cheap and others cost arms and legs and tail, but the point I was making is that optimal group setups are generally just as fast as your typical exploiters (CoF P2 skip is a pretty good counter example I know), when it comes to multi path farming.

the issue is cof1 is farmableby everyone.

Most other dungeon are rewarding only for optimized Group.

I expect to see the “zerker warriors only” issue to get way worse in the next weeks.

eh really?ur implying tat cof does not give moar reward for optimized groups, thing is ultra hyperspeed cof runs which doin every lap in 3 min yields almost 7g/h compared to normal speedruns which only yields 4g/hour (and no its not ur usual zerk warr only groups).

i use a mesmer…
I usually run with the mst ptimized Group possible, people that will go mad if you time any of your skill 1 second later and stuff (don t like it but this is people)

Yet sometimes i switch to ele (not conjured)and when i find zerker groups it takes a minute more.
You are still doing 80-90% of other parties.
In the worst case of PUGS PVT you do about 50%.

But if you go something like ARAH for example the reward difference is way worse.
Optimized will just clear everything in 1/10 of other parties.

Same with AC.

Killing cof will hurt Pugs and unoptimized groups mostly unless some PvE balance is paired with it.

As i said i have a mesmer and if it will be still viable i have a way out of this (my daily farming is already made of several different dungeon paths) but if what i think is true, we will meet again in this thread after they nerfed stuff with pugs complaining

P.S. on the other way guardians will be so happy because now they are the most required profession…
The only exception was cof….

GW2 balance:
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

This will result in gold becoming harder to obtain for pugs, but easier to obtain for groups that know how to cheese through content by using exploits.

That’s not actually anything new…. there’s several other “farms” in the game more profitable than “pugging” COF. And you call it cheese, they call it skill. Just like how a lot of people call it cheesing to be rerunning the easiest mission in the game every 7 minutes… Either way your logic is getting caught in a vicious cycle.

Meanwhile… the Blog promises changes to reduce how much gold you actually NEED to get what you really want. Net result: doing a variety of other things will be the more direct path than repeating this … silly little … cave…
