I finally managed to almost be apart of a raid but I was booted from the group because my DPS was only 7-9k….

What do I need to get my DPS too before it’s “acceptable”???

I would rather use Rev as it’s fully ascended/legendary gear but maybe someone could help me with my build?

Take the shield off and use offhand axe or sword for the extra CC. Axe offhand is also better at Gors for the ads in pugs if you need to hold one.

Don’t really need shiro, spinning hammers are a DPS boost. Having said that, you could still take shiro in pugs where the CC is obviously poor

Change your runes to scholar instead of rage & change sigil to force/air since you’ll likely be capped for might.

You want to take vicious lacerations trait in devo instead of malicious reprisal. Unblockable isn’t worth giving up ~10% damage.

As for acceptable DPS, it depends what boss you’re doing and how good the rest of your raid is. Generally if you apply the changes I listed above and do a semi proper rotation your DPS will be at least 15k (I don’t really know the exact numbers; 15 is considered the real low end tho).

qT’s max number is 30k with all buffs and food. The best I’ve been able to do is about 24k without food, and somewhat optimal rotations (still a bit iffy on swapping to Jalis for Vengeful hammers).

Practical DPS in a raid might be below 20k (15-18k, probably), as you’d want to withhold some of your abilities for critical moments. I also rarely swap to Jalis for Vengeful hammers, and use it only for stability on Slothasor (I like to leave Facets up as long as possible and even have Facet of Chaos in the event that I need it for the CC, although with a good group, I don’t need it).

You’re not really there for the DPS though, only Facet of Nature (boon duration) and some really strong CC.

While it’s very polite and reasonable to ask for improvement on your Rev here in the forums I am surprised that you got booted due to your dps because nobody except you knows how much you are doing. All others can’t see your numbers and I’ve never heard of any groups to tell them your dps numbers. Very strange…

I’m more interested in hearing how they knew your dps.

Anyway, to answer your question, anything above 20k in a real raid setting is excellent. Anything below 10k is pretty bad.
