I’m NA :-( I know of some exploration paths that still get you to Farnaz and eventually Corrupted Lights, but haven’t gotten around to trying them yet. I need to get back in there and see how far I can get again :-)

And I totally understand the frustrating jumps. The old way out of the lobby with the coral (after they put in the first wall…) took me about an hour the first time I did it, but after a few runs I had it down to about 3 minutes. Just gotta learn where the invisible bumps are.

I think my favorite was the one after Belka. Man, you could see everything from on top of that one. I wonder if you can still get there from p3…

1,386 hours, 129 days (lol, n00b), DM completed 69 times. Not leaving until I have two things on the table: get my skills up to a point where I won’t even have to apply for guilds like rT and DnT and as long as I have my adowable friends on here (you deSade, you).

Must admit that most of the posts in here make me sad though, so many great players already feel burned out on the game.

It’s official: I don’t play nearly enough dungeons . I checked my main account this morning before work, and I’ve only completed Hobby Dungeon Explorer 22 times (plus maybe 5 times on the second account).

Currently, I’m having a blast learning to meta-run dungeons, and see a lot of areas for improvement in my abilities. That’s basically what keeps me interested, finding new ways to play a game and learning to deal with new builds and new challenges. Just a few days ago, I participated in taking Lupi down quickly and (mostly) painlessly for the first time, after always ranging him 10+ minutes with guild groups before. It felt great (except for the point where I missed the right moment for feedback and got downed instantly ).

There’s so much yet to see and do for me in this game. And there are friends around that keep me playing, and many more people to get to know each day. Or maybe I’m just lucky I don’t have much time to play, so I won’t burn out quickly .

Lilith you take that back! My sylvari are among my favorite characters to look at

While there are a lot of things I wish they would change, the truth is I just still enjoy playing just about every aspect of the game, just some more than others. I can’t be a hardcore gamer anymore so the couple hours a night I might get to play stops me from burning out even if I would. I’ve been playing since headstart and I STILL will watch an occasional cut scene. I still giggle when Troffa says KABOOM. I love the organized chaos that is GW2 combat without the Holy Trinity. I love the fact that I am not going to fail encounters unless I am built exactly so, letting me play around with a variety of weapons, skills, and traits for fun, even if X setup does it 5 seconds faster than Y. I go in waves where I might not touch a dungeon for two weeks then it’ll be all I do for a few weeks.

It also helps that when we do guild runs and its not the Arah crew we never know what we’re going to get. It could be mindlessly easy or I may have to help hold the group together when the newer ones start dropping like flies.

At the end of the day most of it is the social end of it. Dave, remember the Arah run with Acid where we just couldn’t seem to get our kitten together and we had to have spent an hour wiping, just stupid mistake after stupid mistake? Had to be one of the best nights ever, we just couldn’t stop laughing. Poor Ben thought he had the A Team that night. Its the stuff like that that keeps me playing.

Which goes back to the point: if it wasn’t for dungeons, I’d have uninstalled the game long ago; and there’s no love for dungeons in this game :/

I felt burned out when i achieved dungeon master about 1.5 years ago. The game lacks content. You can tell about WoW what you want, but at least they add dungeons and raids every couple of months. I think I go back to WoW a bit and hope Anet adds something substantial to this game. Otherweise there are still a lot of good games out there to play.

Let me type up my tale of woe for you while I procrastinate on getting my assignment that is due in 10 hrs done.

I recently got back into guild wars 2 about 3 weeks ago. I heard about the changes in April and wanted to see what exactly had happened. This was the first time logging on for me since the Christmas event. Another factor for me getting back into the game was the fact that I had played Wildstar for a bit before that as well, and could not stop thinking how bad the combat system sucked compared to this game. So not worth the money for that game. So I came back, am levelling up 2 new alts (a thief and an ele) while running dungeons and trying to improve my gameplay. I adopted the meta (I used to be a PHIW casual) because I realised that the meta is a meta for a reason, and that the meta builds were better than what i was previously running. So now I just stick around in game trying to improve myself and level alts while being guildless and friendless since all my old friends stopped playing, same with my guildies.

Now no more procrastinating for me.

Here’s my tale I guess.

I like pineapple pizza and chocolate. Sometimes I like grilled chicken burgers and those salad things from olive garden with the breadsticks.

The dungeons are boring to me now, but playing with friends makes them bearable.
My Aussie internet connection is potato so no more spvp till I go back to Canada.
I hate WvW with a passion.
Open world is in the gross/yuck pile.

I think about too many things at once. I have a migraine everyday, sometimes they last for many days at a time without a break.
I play this game to kill the thoughts and distract from the migraines even when it can make them more violent.
This game is unhealthy for me. But I am unhealthy for me.
So it works out.

TL:DR.

• This game is a distraction.
• I like olive garden breadsticks.

I honestly have no idea who came up with putting pineapple on pizza. I know so many people who love ham and pineapple pizzas. I just dont get it. Take the pineapple off and the pizza is improved dramatically.

Well it’s incredibly popular in this here Murica, we call it Hawaiian pizza, and it’s a staple at Murican football parties along with buffalo wings and potato chips and dip.

The only type of pizza that I recognise as edible is Meatlovers. Everything else is subpar.

Just use the traditional fresh ingredients that go so well with bread, eh? That with basil OR origano.
Keep it simple, with few things, mozzarella and/or tomato sauce always to give a delicate and watery base to whatever you want to use – then pick ingredients that fit well with each other and respect the glorious tradition behind the preparation.
Don’t dishonour it by smashing random things in a mixer and slapping them on the dough. Be gentle and respectful as if it were your bride.

It’s those huge chicken chunks that have gross bits of chewy fat that makes be want to barf. If it’s shredded chicken or small pieces I can deal.

I had a barbecued pulled pork pizza the other day. That was … amazing.

Now imagine a pizza crust drenched in oil that tastes like it’s come from the greasy head of a teenager who hasn’t showered in weeks. A cheese topping that has the consistency of rubber and tastes like plastic. ‘Beef’ (although I think they just call it ‘meat’ because god knows what’s in it) that tastes like half defrosted cardboard and crumbles into pieces in your mouth like that one sandwich you left in your bag back in high school for over a month. Ham is usually placed in small rectangular chunks, it’s slimy and tastes as if it’s been fished out of a rotting dumpster. Pepperonis come as a couple of dry and hardened disks that are basically stale. You know when you forget to brush your teeth and that bad plaquey taste/smell settles in your mouth? That’s what eating that pepperoni does to you. Vegetables are soggy and discoloured, as if they have been soaked in some sort of preservative preparation for a couple days beforehand. The sauce? It’s oily as well and you’re lucky if you don’t find any hair in it.

I could go on forever about the sorry excuse for pizza in this country.

But yeah simple plain pizzas are probably my favourite. I just like to change it up a bit and pig out.

I feel the same way. Running with new folks keeps it interesting and fun, and some of my favorite runs have been the most horrible :-)

I have to agree. When I was in Australia the only food I found acceptable was the Japanese and Vietnamese I ate literally everyday for 3 months. The pizza was pretty awful. But sometimes it was better than the ramen.

HOWEVER… I literally have never had a better pink lady apple than i did in australia. And I’m a total apple snob.
