Why was this game made so anti solo? The best part of gw1 was that you could solo most dungeons, at least at one point in time. Im pretty sure there was even one guy who was one kill away from a full doa solo. My best memory of guild wars was doing a full TOPK Solo on my sin, it took 3 hours and i loved every minute of it but this game seems to be so geared towards team play that its not even fun because you always get stuck with at least 1/2 “bad” players who ruin your dungeon experience because their skill level just isn’t or will ever be up to par with others.
Its no fault of their own, some people just are not and will never be as good as others but people shouldn’t be punished becasue of this. Theres plenty of paths that require 5 players to do something at the same time.
Cof p1 – needs at least 2 (if u jump the wall) 5 without
Cof p2 – needs at least 2/3
Cof p3 – needs 5
Coe – P2 might be soloable if the dodge in this game wasn’t so broken, how are u suspose to play this game to its full potential if the main damage reduction skill doesn’t work half the time?
Se p1 – Not gonna be solo’d
Se p2 – can’t remember most of this but i do remember it being and incredable grind
Se p3 – I’ve solo’d but whats forced to use an “exploit” jumping over a wall
Arah p2 – was solo’d (amazing btw)
p3 – needs at least 2 unless a mes can solo lupi
p4 – doable until you get to simon
Hotw – …..
Ta – I can see up path being solo’d, but rest not without glitching.
Now fotm, on paper they seem pretty easily soloable but then once you try you start to realize theres thing implemented to stop you from doing it.
ex:
Ascalon Frac – when the final boss reaches 5-10% hp it does the GS 3 Warrior skill forcing it out of range and resets.
Inquest Frac – Champ Flame Legion knocks you backwards into one of the 4 spawns causing a reset.
Underwater Frac – Final boss eats you causing it to instantly teleport back to its spawn and regen hp while your still inside not able to attack it.
Im not even gonna get into the insane 15-20 second knocklock that can happen in the ice fractal.
It would be nice with future content to see some more content for players who enjoy just going at the game solo, they don’t have to be super easy because that would be no fun but maybe put a little more time into the creation of boss fights and stuff so resets don’t happen so often, maybe fix the dodge ability? maybe make a dungeon that doesn’t require 5 people to stand in different places while hitting a switch at the same time? because lets face it this doesn’t add difficulty to a dungeon, it just simply leads to headaches and players getting kicked. Then those players come on the forums making 20 different posts about how they are always getting kicked from dungeons.
I did manage a couple solo’s
uncategorized fractal – This was my “debug” video (first try) so its not a flawless run but i don’t plan on going back. Too much hp and to buggy. i died twice, once because i bugged tom and second because i fell while crippled.
Ascalon Fractal – Think the cats outta the bag on this one. Incase you don’t know this is an amazing farming spot for charged cores/lodestones, rares and exo’s. It can be solo’d or done with 5 for fast runs. Expect nerf soon.
I did manage to solo the water fractal but video is 35 minutes long with 5-6 boss resets so not gonna post, heres dolphin part tho, hope for lights because they are much easier.
I also solo’d the ice fractal on my guard but got so bored of the endless hp i ended up just glitching final boss so not gonna post that one either.
