I’m mostly a dungeon crawler, I can get bloodstone dust and empyreal fragments in there but I’m missing dragonite ore.

if this game is all about play what you want and ignore the rest, than give me dragonite ore in dungeons as well will yah !

The ascended weapons require everything. The consume almost every currency. They require you to do play of the content. That’s the design. It’s almost certainly not going to change.

Do think dragonite should be obtainable through other means other than just meta events and guild missions though. Such a chore to go do world events and guild missions is once a week.

The exclusion of dragonite from dungeons is purposeful and not an oversight. While I would like to have dragonite obtainable in dungeons, I doubt it will happen.

Dragonite is easier to get than empyreal fragments, just suck it up and do it. Alternatively, pretty sure you can get Ore from WvW.

I have spent most of my gw2 gametime this week looking at gw2stuff timers and jumping around characters, zones and guesting around servers for Dragonite ore. I am now at ~2700 ore total.

This is the one of the most boring and grindy things that i’ve done in any game. This is not how i want to play. Please, make the grind end.

That’s because of what you choose to do. Doesn’t change the fact that you can get over 100 ore in 10 minutes, varying during times of the day.

Unless you happen to get really lucky and just pop into four separate events in a row right before each boss dies, I dunno how you’re completing 4 world events in 10 minutes.

Yeah i spent 20 mins waiting for fire elemental last night and got 9 dragonite ore for my efforts. I can run a few dungeon paths in that time and get 50 empyreal fragments.

Don’t bother with the fire elemental. Just do the temples, fire shaman, and golem mark 2. Make sure you use your guests, combined with gw2state or something. It’s really, really easy to get the ore in a very short amount of time. If you don’t want to guest, it may take you a bit longer. Playing during prime times helps, obviously. The golem is easily the best meta event, because its spawn timer is really short and it gives 15-25 ore.

If you actually make an effort, your ore per hour will easily exceed your potential shards per hour, unless you sit and farm SE P1 or something.

Lol spoj, they scale with the level of the world boss. Do temples, shaman, golem, hop in at the end of shatterer/jormag, etc. There are servers you can guest to that do daily runs of every temple at reset.

Would be nice if we got dragonite ore from fractals though.

It would make sense to me if we could buy Bloodstone Dust and Dragonite Ingots for fractal relics. (Yeah, I know nobody would EVER pay anything for dust.)

id prefer to see dragonite ore introduced as a reward for spvp… fractals would be good too though (but not normal dungeons; and not low level fractals)

There is dragonite in dungeons… I got 22 out of CM story mode…

yeah, if dungeons is what you like and dragonite what you need you can get it your way. Now,… if what you want is to get everything farming only 1 spot in the game then change your tittle.

This. Stick with the temples and golem/fire shaman. And guest over to populated servers to do them if you need.

And if you are not aware, you can do temples multiple times on multiple toons and get the 30 dragonite ore on each toon. Still only 1 daily chest though.

I’ve been doing way more farming and temples lately, so I am in desperate need of the emphyreal fragments at the moment. That is all I am lacking for 2 more ascended weapons. I just hit the temples as I do my daily ori/ancient wood runs.

But I understand, if you never stick your head out of a dungeon then the dragonite ore will be hard to come by.

Ill prob just do the odd shatterer and golem tbh. The new golem is actually quite fun in melee surprisingly. Shame you cant crit.

hahaha man don’t call me out like that! nah, i’m not mad.. I recognize my catharsis on the forums (as I post from my office at work most of the times, its a needed therapy) but I wouldn’t call it mad… its like granpa simpson kind of mad, you know… in my days we asked for things clearly! we didn’t say we wanted something we truly did not!
