Can be done a lot faster with a better endboss and just some general improvements, but happy with this run for now as the grind is ridiculous ^^

Yeah, I was just thinking this, how do you get past that without 5 people?

I also dunno if there are other explorables or story dungeons with mechanics like this.

You can see how they do it in the video. Basically, you can avoid triggering the flame orb “puzzle” and walk straight to the gate controller because nothing past that point has triggered, then kill the gate controller. Then you need to trigger the “puzzle” and complete it.

The previous record, which got approved, also did this exact same thing, so as far as we know its perfectly fine according to the duo records ruleset

I dont really care what the rules of that speedrun community are (I am not part of it). To me it is clearly exploited and invalid.

Is the record for a 50 yard dash invalid because the runners do not complete a marathon?

What is being meaured in that record does not include the skipped elements any more than a sprint record is not measuring the stamina needed to run 26 miles.

That said, I personally don’t care as much for a record that involves such accepted speedrun tactics any more than I do short distance sprinting records.

i thought exactly the same when a thief uploaded this strat for the first time, but just think about it:
the goal of the event that we skipped is destroying the console, it doesn’t say that we have to stay in these circles, so basically we did everything that the path wants us to do :D but yea it isnt intended whatsoever, so i do understand your point.
