I was on my way to a POI in the harathi hinterlands when i was attacked by ministry guards.
my character joined the order of whispers and has finished the lvl 30-40 whispers arc(human)
Now before they attacked the Guard said caudecus sent them for stealing his daughter which is what the 30-40 arc deals with.
i was wondering if anyone else with a similar character has come across this event

I’ve come across something similar in relation to my character’s personal story (character is in Order of Whispers). I was in Bloodtides? doing map completion, this random DE appeared.. Unfortunately when I stepped a little closer to get the WP activated before turning to avenge Tybalt, the Risen Commander disappeared.

I’ve seen the second one (although on my screen it said "Kill the Risen Commander to avenge Seiran, but it’s the same thing). I have yet to see the Harathi, but I don’t think I’ve visited that area since joining the Order of Whispers. I am now very interested.

There is one in Dredgehaunt Cliffs for priory characters. “Kill the vengeful Son of Svanir”. That one is easy to trigger, you just have to walk pass a certain tree.

Steag defeated for Priory is 20th quest in personal story list. Demmi stands up for herself is 20th quest for Whispers. Vigil 20th is a peace treaty; Ajax Anvilburn (charr) defeated.

Map locations per 20th quest:
Priory- Defeat Steag- Lornar’s Pass, black barls mill POI (rank 39 heart nearby).
Whispers- Demmi joins Whispers- Bloodtide Coast, near Deadend Waypoint (rank 45 heart nearby), but she was captured by pirates and held near Wiley’s Cove in Gendarran Fields.
Vigil- Defeat Ajax – Fields of Ruin, The Thunder Den POI (rank 38 heart nearby).
The surprise attacks… are not at those locations. hmmm. ok.

Surprise Attack Locations:
Priory, rank 44 heart nearby; Sons of Svanir mobs nearby. (Dredgehaunt Cliffs; see link above)
Whispers, rank 36 or 42 hearts not very nearby, but closest, Centaur mobs nearby… 0o. (Harathi Hinterlands; see post above)
Vigil…? (I’ll guess somewhere in Blazeridge Steppes. /shrug. Good luck hunting the location!)

Battle for Claw Island, 25th for each Order. Will Commander show up for each Order at that location? (checking; may be a cool down before another Commander attack?)

Mysterious campfire in Blazeridge Steppes. It can be interacted with. Seems to do nothing… so far. 0o /emotes at it… nothing, but skull, torch, and bone appear close to it for pick up.

I got the Vigil surprise attack in Blazeridge Steppes, somewhere in the far southern areas. I’m not sure exactly where.

Interesting. I’ve always had that Commander show up in the water to avenge Forgal. Missed him the first time, like your case (was making a dive run to Orr), but a second wander down there had him pop up again and took him out (I’ve had far worse water fights than that one).

Will watch your spot for this version of the Commander, but my Engi in Whispers needs better gear first (my first 80, not done much with him since then until recent patch).

I’ve seen the avenge Tybalt and the ministry guard events in the exact same places you said.

GJ! TY! I got screenshots of the Vigil locations, and /kneel event in Orr.
1st link is Charr attacks Vigil player in Blazeridge.
2nd link is Commander attacks Vigil player in the water of Bloodtide.
3rd link is of a special altar in Malchor’s Leap west of Rayhan Bayt. /kneel at the altar for the event start (Karas the Undying). Skulls of the altar have to be glowing for the /kneel to spawn him. if no glow, no spawn (cool down).

While I was roaming Blazeridge the other night, I found 2 more campfires… I’d guess there is nothing to do with campfires in Blazeridge. Yet that one campfire I originally found to be uniquely located, alone, and no NPCs on top of it… suspicious. The other 2 campfires were near http://gw2.mmorpg-life.com/campfire/17966/ which has NPCs, skill point, & event. That lonesome campfire… hmmm. North of The Last Whiskey Bar Waypoint along the west map wall near spiders.
