Guild Wars 2

Level has really never mattered in GW2 in the first place. It was an arbitrary mechanism to limit progression through maps. Level adjustments in maps and loot means you’re not really ever ‘wasting time’ on an old map anyway. That same progression mechanism has been replaced with mastries now.

Leveling doesn’t really make you more powerful in GW2, it just makes you able to choose more maps to go to. The type of player that comes to GW2 comes here for the content as it exists. It’s a fantastic exploration game early on with a lot of ground to cover and unique things to see.

The original idea, that ‘the whole game is endgame’ is pretty much true. If you’re a new player, and you insta-80 a character, you’re not going to NOT want to go to those core tyria zones if you were already interested in that content, doing your story, etc. Those zones are still reqarding for a max level character, as much (or even more due to higher level rares/exo drops that actually salvage in to useful stuff) than if they’d done them while leveling.

However, if all you really want to do is instances and new content with a friend that invited you to the game, now you can.

YOU JUST TOOK THE VERY LAST BIT OF PROGRESS OUT OF THE GAME THAT WAS LEFT…. and i dont know if you realize that anet. You are promoting your game as a “big living world full of dynamic events” and you are basically taking it away from the new players…
Its okay giving it to the players who alredy have an lvl 80 character, but giving it to the new players ???

So because you bought the expansion you get to automatically skip everything and become max level instead of having to work for it and put the time into doing it yourself…What is this WoW now ?? What a better way to throw the entire world you created in the garbage. Why would I leave LA now except for guild missions??
It removes the entirety of what GW2 is.. exploration and discovery.

I just feel that i have nothing in this game, untill now i was like “okay i have level 80 i accomplished something in this game”… cant say that after this patch anymore…

I cared about this game but im not going to anymore… im sick of watching stupid decisions pass in anet like that… im a little sad about this cause gw2 was my fav game. R.I.P.

And I cheated my way to lvl 80 on my first character (When I was still new) when the game was in Holloween and all I did was power leveled to 80 and skipped all maps. How shocking :0

Let’s complain about that too and remove exp gain completely from it, I doubt it. Because you could not gain masteries in Mad King’s Labyrinth is not worth it to bring a lvl 80 to that place at all unless all your characters are all lvl 80.
