Thanks for incorporating the character name changes Anet, the price is a bit steep IMO but I’m sure many will purchase. Are there any plans to allow account name changes in the future? (i.e. forum name)

They have answered this question countless times. Not anytime in the forseeable future; maybe, just maybe some time down the road.

Everybody knows me through my main character. Then I also named than my alts similar to my main’s name. My account name is just way different now.

I would really like to change my account name to match my main’s name.

When I created my account I didn’t know how will these names work in the game. I thought account name would appear in chat channels, and characters’ name won’t be as important as they are.

Yes but that was before the patch, I’m wondering whether now that they’ve implemented character name changes (higher priority) they’ll push out account name changes. That can’t take more than 5 minutes to do manually and I’d gladly pay for it.

You can always be identified by your account name, even if you change your character name. If you could change your account name, well known scammers and other morons could just start over. Thanks, no.
