Ever since the 1st of the new hairstyles were introduced up to now, how come they aren’t even in the character creation?

Because money doesn’t grow on trees, and it took them some of it to make them.
I mean, how much does a person really need one of these new hairstyles on their character?

Because they were added in the Total make over kit/Hair style kit so that you have to pay gems for it. Which imo is quite reasonable and one of the better things in the gemstore.

Because it’s another way for ANet to make some money from the gemstore. That’s really the only reason.

It would be nice to have access to these hairstyles (and the new faces introduced a few months ago) at character creation, but I doubt that’s going to happen.

Like, i agree with paying gems for it, but for the older new hairstyles (if that makes sense) why aren’t some of those available in creation?

Because some people still want to have those hairstyles (clearly) so why not ask them to pay for them still? If they just made them free eventually, nobody would buy the makeover kits for the latest ones because they know they could get them free later. So it would defeat the point.

In my opinion they should be in character creation. It’s ridiculous that you have to pay extra to get one hairstyle on a new character. I agree with paying for changing the hair of an existing character.

Seriously- development time does not grow on trees.

A hair kit is not expensive in terms of in game gold and even less so in real money.
Especially after the farm fest you all got rich on ;P

If you want the hair- buy it, or get the AP so you can get it for free

I don’t recall playing most of those tapping 1 button only or watching TV. With all of those you can contribute as much or as little as you want, it seems. SOME people just stick with a zerg and spam one skill and if they find that fun then props to them. OTHER people play using all their skills etc. and props to them. Just because you CAN play it one way doesn’t mean you have to. The game is the way you make it, so calling it trash content is generalising at best.

it’s a shame. though if these new hair styles are in new char creation screen, people would scream for a free makeover ticket every time new options are added.

Because can you imagine the explosion of having new people get for free what long standing customers have to pay for? That way lies madness.

There are standard looks and there are premium ones, and the way you get premium ones is through a gemstore kits. Simple. Consistent. Fair.

The fact they are not the latest add, doesn’t make them less desiderable, surely not enough to make them free. I doubt any new hairstyle will be in character creation unless someday we’ll get an expansion.

The box prices included all the character creation options available at launch for one price. There is no free lunch.

The hairstyles the female human ones are alright we get Kasmeer hairstyle but for the males ‘ugh’ try a big harder the only one I do kinda like is the short hair one that needs to be more spiky but I would like longer hair for both female and males not just short hair

Also, not to play devil’s advocate or anything…but you can get them from Black Lion Chests. So you could key farm and get one that way…

Because if they were made freely available to new character creation, you KNOW that the legions would swarm to these forums in a righteous fury screaming that it’s not fair that new players get things that old players would have to pay gems for.

Easier to make EVERYONE pay for it rather than SOME people… and make more money that way too.

Norn and Human should have interchangeable hairstyles.

I mean wow, some humans have “norn like” hair while norns have human styled hair

One of the male norn hairstyles looks like a female ponytail hairstyle :-/ Are they sure it was supposed to be for male norn?
