I miss the strategy involved in GW1, you had to know which skills were heals, and which mob was the healer, and when to interrupt and when not to interrupt.

You could shut down the healer and kill the mobs, or you could burn the healer and take out the mobs afterwards, sometime it was better to do the latter of the two options.

That’s about all I miss from GW1

no i hated gw1, i remember me and my friends were trying to find a good game to play together and after we went through some games we ended up trying gw1 factions, we played for two days and than we stopped, we thought it was this huge world but it turns out its just instanced areas, very linear and just garbage, we had no fun at all and we dropped the game like a hot potato, ive tried replaying factions again but i just couldnt do it, it’s so lame and boring, i hated gw1, we all just ended up playing WoW and my 8 year legacy began, it wasnt until last year that i gave gw2 a try and it was perfect, exactly what i was looking for, its what i thought gw1 was, i love gw2 now and i wish i wasnt put off so much from kittenty gw1 and tried gw2 earlier, point is, not only do i NOT miss gw1, i hated it with the passion, it was garbage

Personally I miss GW1 a lot. Not because I didn’t play it for a long time, but because I was disappointed about how things changed. It used to be a time when developers tried to balance everything and kept the game from getting messy, and for quite a long time they did not too bad at all. I guess they get bored of it after Nightfall and they cut short by setting fences between classes. I can understand why, maintenance would have been horrible since build creativity had unlimited potential.

Anyway after that my passion about GW1 disappeared and I am very sad about it.

A little bit. I really like Fort Aspen and Random Arena. My reflex is really bad but playing as a ranger or mesmer and interrupting skills feels so good. And I like that you can equip skills from your 2nd profession. Just thinking about the builds that people come up with is kind a funny. The touch ranger, hamstorm… oh god.

Same here! I miss Fort Aspenwood! I miss playing monk! I miss playing protection monk on Kurzick side and guard the gate/juggernaut/Gunther!

Yeah, used to be Kurzick too. Me and my cousin used to defend outer orange and rush mines. Moved to Luxon cause I like turtles with canon.

I still play GW. I personally feel some places just have a better feel and look to there GW2 counterparts. I HATE the look of new LA. I was over joyed when it was destroyed. LA in GW was a much better looking place. Same for pre Ascalon. I do really like DR, and Queens Dale. I Also really like Ebon Hawke and plains of Ashford, and what’s left of the Eye of the North.

okay so here it my two cents. I just started playing guild wars 2. I literally just bought the game because it was on sale for only ten dollars. I have only been playing a day or so. I have only gotten to level ten. I played the original guild wars before factions or nightfall ever came out. I have to say my first impression of gw2 is that the original guild wars was a much better game. There was just more of a sense of exploration and creativity. I feel like the story line may be much better as well.Even the game play seems better in gw 1. I really miss the droknars forge runs. People buying runs all the way to droks. The underworld was also loads of fun. I played a rangar and a monk. I really can not believe that there is no healing class. I had the underworld Armour that required ectos. Perhaps i just have not played enough gw2 to make a firm judgement. But all i can say is so far i believe gw1 was a better game.

You played for 2 days but you know it was garbage? I’m pretty sure you could not even catch a glimpse of what the game is in 2 days. Of course GW1 requires more brain work so it’s not for everyone.

I did a tombs run yesterday with my heroes. I’m so OP that even after a hiatus of a couple of years I still swept through that place relatively quickly and with relative ease

Give us more GW 1 weapon and armor skins, please. COPY/PASTE ALREADY!!!!

I don’t miss Guild Wars 1, but there are things I miss from Guild Wars 1. Probably heroes and build templares are the big things I miss. I also miss the ability when dead to enter the eyes of a person on your party and keep watching game play. That was awesome.

I don’t play it anymore. I tried once and it really feels ancient now. But the nostalgia is great.

Not really. It had some cool aspects I’d love to see recycled, but overall it was a poor game experience, I remember I forgot a out it roughly 3 weeks after release.

The strength of heart to face oneself has been made manifest. The persona Carighan has appeared.
