class choice and personality? I have. (No insults intended. :])For example, warriors tend to be more brash. Elementalists seem to be more reserved and more likely to go with the group. Mesmers tend to be snarky and arrogant. (I’m a mesmer btw.)

Of course, I know there are always exceptions. But has anyone else noticed a trend with classes/personalities or is it just my experience? It could be my server, we are an RP server. Maybe this is how most people think their professions would behave?

Please, keep it friendly and polite. This discussion is just for fun. Let’s not offend anyone.

Interesting convo. My main is a mesmer because I basically like to mess with people’s heads…even in real life. It’s fun for me. So I chose a mesmer. I always tend to play harrasser professions in games anyway. I’m not a griefer, but it’s fun to play a profession that turns people’s power against them, or turns them into a moa or tuna, that sort of thing.

I also love animals in real life, so a ranger is a natural profession for me to play. I feel the play style fits who I am.

That said, I enjoy my warrior, but he’s not one of my mains. You may be onto something here.

I have three level 80s. Mesmer (1st 80), Warrior (2nd 80), and Ranger (3rd 80).
I always act the same no matter what class I play. Even though Mesmer is my favorite, I’m not snarky or arrogant. :P

Generalizations are usually very general.

XOXO

I’d have a different take on the perceived personalities.
Mesmers remind me more of a particular character from batman. (insane)
Elementalists remind me more of snarky college students with no grasp on what goes on around them.
Warriors remind me of body builders with no real advantage and a lack of overall brainpower.
Guardians remind me of the Christians(any kind really), awkwardly resilient.
Engineers just remind me of those guys who sit at their desks with no personality or practical application to speak of.
Thieves remind me of those jerks in school who always pull something stupid to get everyone else punished and never really seem to take the blame for it.
Hunters remind me of those weird nature freaks you see on T.V. who don’t seem to be in touch with reality at all and somehow (or magically) fire hundreds of arrows from no where.

However, the personalities expressed in the characters will be seen differently by each person, however similar they may seem.

Ok:
- first 80 engineer – pretty complicated, hard to be good at, undervalued and underplayed
- second 80 warrior – faceroll easy to play, overplayed and overvalued

so what`s my personality ?

My two level80s are a Guardian and a Thief.

I suppose that fits.

On one hand, I want to be helpful and I want to endure.
I also like the blue fire and spirit weapons. Their regal supernaturality is what drew me to the class, the durability and helpfulness of Guardians is what made me stick with it.

On the other hand, I enjoy stabby stabby.
And the elegance and mystic of being one who lurks in the shadows, I enjoy that too.

Lv80s: Guard, Thief, Necro. Renewed my Altaholic’s card on the HoT Hype-Train. Choo choo~

Thief = FIG JAM

A warrior, a guardian, and an elementalist walk into an open field…
The Warrior turns to the guardian and says, “Did you hear something?”
Guardian replies, “No, but how’d the elementalist die?”
