Since they did away with town clothing I have this Fancy winter outfit. I love the fact I can wear it into battle but I was wondering is there a way to take certain parts off and equip the battle armor instead?

You can choose to show or hide the helm, but that’s it. There’s no way to mix and match anymore.

No, there is not. Outfits are all or nothing, the trade-off for being able to wear it into battle (or so Arena.net claims). It kinda makes sense in that some of the original town clothes pieces covered multiple slots (and would be incompatible with armor), and going back and redoing it all to be compatible was likely not deemed worth the time and resource investment.

Though, as you can hide the headgear of either armor or town clothes, then I presume these pieces don’t overlap with multiple slots; It would be nice if they’d at least let us mix armor and town clothes headgear with each other.

I want to wear my Fancy Winter Outfit with a pair of Shades. Because I’m cool like that.
