Guild Wars 2

I can see 3 portals online in Coriolis plaza, and 3 inactive. Apparently i’m the only one who can see it, is it significant or just a bug? The portals take me nowhere, they’re “disabled” like the one in rata sum.

I’m speculating here, but I’m willing to bet they lead to staging areas for either new PvP content or maybe a new Mists-like area that allows one to easily find a group for just about any dungeon!

Then again, it might be another way to get into The Mad King’s Realm but will lead to other seasonal realms throughout the year. Whatever it is, it might come off a really big surprise!

Your second suggestion made me think of the holiday doors in Nightmare Before Christmas. Just thought I’d let you know.

I think those doors may be how we eventually get to new maps in the world. We haven’t been able to get to the other continents, and I imagine that would mean the best way to get to them is to go to these portals. It also has the added benefit of keeping “launch/original” features separate from “things we added over the years”.
