Awful Female Human Heavy Armor Art Design

I’m just going to leave this here.
Hah, that’s brilliant. XD
On that note, I’m very thankful we don’t have chainmail bikinis. <3
And exactly why is that? Oh, never-mind… you’re one of those players that simply can’t stand seeing other people play a game in a way that doesn’t affect you in the least little bit, but you choose to get upset about anyway, amirite? Stop worrying about what other people do, and you’ll be much happier.
Honestly, we all know that some of the decisions come down to the bottom line of profit, it just makes me sad that so many people think female human armor is lame unless it is sexy. Yes, this is a fantasy game so fantastic armor is a good thing, it’s just a tired trope to have so much skin showing by default for female armor. However credit to Anet designers for having the Scallywag chest piece in heavy armor for males. It gives a tony nod to balance.
My suggestion is that if Anet really wants to cash in, they should make armor that consists of nothing but male genitals from head to toe. They could even make it so that as Fury goes up, so do the genitals. I say they make it Legendary armor and sell it in the gem store. They would make a ton of money and it would make the game much more entertaining.

I’m just tired of boob plates/cups and skirts in armor. I want to see more chest pieces that looks like actual armor without the two lumps tacked on.
As a female, it really gets old to me after a while how in most games the female armors look like sex suits, I’m really glad that in this game I can take my female character a lot more seriously because she looks more suited for battle. I don’t mind if some outfits show a bit of skin here and there, I’m just glad that it’s not all entirely like that. I actually wish that some of the armors for the breastplate was treated like a normal breastplate and not something to exaggerate the breasts at all.

Especially for you :

I guess we also have too much colors for you and we only need grey and brown,
everything else is just “soooo unrealistic”
And remove Asura, Charr and Sylvari from the game and all magic professions
and all skills that have unrealistic animations.
Let us just all play on level 1 with starter gear .. just autoatack with a rusty sword
in grey chainmail ^^
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
I would love to see some more sexy shoes! More high heels.
short skits too since there are so many pants.
Obviously. Higher heels + more cleavage = Killing things better.
I absolutely hate heels and cleavage on armor, especially on heavy armor. If you don’t understand why I hate heels, run through a forest in them and if you don’t understand why I hate cleavage, think about where your heart and lungs are located and how easiy it is for metal to pierce your bone and skin and sink straight into your heart and/or lungs.
Can Anet make some more skimpy heavy armor for the guys? Something along these lines please
I can see all the male norn warriors donning this…

yes please for all gender and race.
isn’t swimming suit outfit are being requested for very long time?
If they start releasing really out of place junk like swim suits, I sure hope they give us an option to opt out of ever seeing it. Just a little check mark in settings that disables anything that isn’t lore and setting friendly, and I’d say sell anything that people will buy. But without such a setting, I would really rather they not.

agree and therefore we never get swimming suit for real.
I think the overall reveal armor no matter sexy level or quanity is just done about right. i dont prefer extreme exposed armor but a bit of chest hole, skirt embedd into armor design to make it look femaine and elegant is what i would love to se.

Men in skirts are hot. Doesn’t matter if it’s a kilt, sarong, or lungi. Boy, those ancient Egyptian men knew how to dress! Come on, guys. Show us your stuff! Put a smile on your faces.

Men in skirt are okay, who said they don’t? But the link you’ve given earlier is definitely not a skirt, correct me if it is. No matter what it is a swimming suit, and this is requested by players for a very long time.
I personally don’t want to see swimming suit everywhere, male or female.
I wouldn’t mind some greek, egyptian, and middle eastern inspired male fashion at all. Even a scottish kilt or two for the Norns would be pretty cool.

i m perfectly fine with those grasping head, Gladiator, Barbaric, Pit fighter type
but those korean MMO type like Tera, B&S…etc those arent sexy, those are more like sex clothes
and ya, i would like to see better swim suit, and more elegant skirt type armor
As for your combat comment, the full body covering armor is what is unrealistic. For one thing trying to bring a realism argument into a fantasy game is idiotic at best, but even in real life, you have armies than even in the 20th century would fight nude in certain circumstances because of the need for agility and mobility. If you want to talk realism, then skimpy armor would be a lot more realistic when fighting fantasy creatures because if you could face a dragon, someone in a bikini will survive longer than someone wearing full metal plate.
Knights in full plate armor were fairly mobile, and their armor actually weighed less then modern infantry full combat gear (IIRC).
If somebody was facing a dragon in a bikini, then they’ll die in a single hit. However somebody in full plate armor won’t have to worry about debris slicing their skin. If enchanted, even more protection is granted.
The “Agility and mobility” line comes into play is if the enemy’s attacks can and WILL one shot kill you from the start, and thus you focus on dodging more then ‘tanking’ the blows.
Have you ever seen someone in actual full plate knights armor because the fact you say they were fairly mobile suggests not. The exact opposite was true. They were very much immobile, slow, lumbering, the opposite of agile.
Flying debris would be the least of your worries if you were to face something like Claw of Jormag. You could be inside 1 inch thick metal armor and you would be one shot, and die quicker then someone who wasn’t so weighted down and had their joints free.
This is where I take issue with this whole debate. For a long time in MMO’s people screamed “give us a choice” and here came GW2 and in a way gave a choice. I say in a way, cause precious little armor in GW2 can truthfully be referred to as ‘skimpy’ and the full coverage armors dominate the fashion landscape yet people still complain about the skimpy armor demanding that NO ONE have the choice, thus showing that people who hate more revealing armor really wish to dictate for everyone.
As for your comments about the Phalanx armor, thank goodness it doesn’t look like male armor. I don’t want to dress like a man. I’ve never gone into Charlotte Russe or Forever 21 and heard anyone ever complain that the clothing didn’t look like men’s clothing. If you went by the icon and didn’t use the dressing room feature before you purchased it, then that frankly is your own fault. GW2 is one of the few games that even give some what honest representations of armor and weapons in their icons.
And for people who say that the skirt on the Phalanx is skimpy, it’s about the same length as the cheerleading skirt I wore at 14 and every other cheerleader wears. Do you go to cheerleading web sites decrying how skimpy the uniforms are?
+1 Absolutely agree.
Phalanx armor is sexy and will be on my guard at level 80. At the same time, I want heavy armor on my mesmer, so I have Balthazar armor outfit for her to wear. Two different characters with completely different looks. My guard needs agility so she wears armor that will allow her to move. My mes has clones do all her dirty work so she doesn’t. I love the choices that Anet gave us.
So to resume all, the OP wanna get in GW2 armors from TERA and BLADE AND SOULS, well thats… ummm… you should play that… we all should just wait for BLADE AND SOULS to get release… actually betas are comming soon istn?
