What’s the best use of karma if you have the weapon/armor set that you want?
Also, what’s the most efficient way to turn karma -> gold now?

Karma → Legendary weapon. You need around a million karma.

Karma → Gold is not possible, there were a few solutions, all nerfed.

At the very least you could buy karma weapons/armor and use the forge to make them into random non-soulbound weapons couldn’t you?

I’m not interested in legendary weapons.

There are several beautiful skins you can get through karma-only merchants.

Karma is pretty useless at level 80 once your geared and not interested in a legendary.

Karma is only useful at level 80 for cosmetic purposes. It doesn’t make sense to use karma otherwise because the items are so expensive.

I use karma to buy gathering tools in Cursed Shore, but other than that, it just sits in my inventory giving me a rather cheeky grin every now and then…

Can’t you buy them from heart-vendors?

You can still buy gathering tools and salvage kits, although the salvage kits are terrible. Orr karma merchants have oric gathering tools though. It won’t use up much karma but it beats paying 4s each for them when you need them.

Cooking ingredients are also account bound not soul bound. I think everything else has been said.

Crude yes, unless im missing the Heart vendor who sells anything better.
and for gathering tools i believe there are a few vendors in orr who trade for karma but having to go all over to round up some tools is a pain in the bum.

It takes about 700k Karma for the thirsty achievement buying beer from monks in queensdale. Also a finger made of steel.

get 4 green shank daggers from the shank anchorage karma vendor.
Throw them in the forge.
Receive either a normal green dagger, or a yellow one. Neither of which will be soulbound, both of which can put listed on the TP, sold to a vendor, or even just salvaged.

It’s not exactly great returns, but if you have literally nothing else to spend your karma on it can give you back some amount of money.

EDIT:
dont do this with shank swords, or accessories. Accessories give back nothing, and shank swords for some reason give back blues and greens rather than greens and yellows.

i’d say, save some… new karma vendors might come up as the game grows

Ok… just to clear this all up… even though I thought I was clear in the first place… I’m not interested in skins, I have the gear that I want.

I’m not interested in buying gathering tools as I don’t farm and that would take up too much space. Not a bad suggestion though ^^

I’m not interested in achievements. Just gold.

Went and bought 100 or so karma weapons from orr and combined them in the forge; at the end and all I got was 4 rares. Which I combined in hopes of getting an exotic but I did not. So around 139k karma turned into 1 ecto (13-20 sil) after using a BL salvage kit charge.

Won’t bother with that no more, lol.

Karma is more or less worthless unless you are going for a legendary.

p.s. using karma items to combine in forge is more than likely not intended so it will get ‘fixed’ eventually.

Also different sets for different builds.

Last halloween taught me that if you don’t have gems, you won’t be getting anything really cool or fun; it’s pay to have fun so that is why I need gold in preperation for future events.

If I could convert karma directly to gold, I would. Karma is worthless to me until then.

Like I posted earlier. Buy karma weapons and shove them into the mystic forge. You’ll get actual weapons back that you can put on the TP, sell to vendors, or salvage at your leisure. It’s the only way to directly convert karma to money that im aware of.

Very very low yeild using forge. 600k+ karma might, just might yeild a couple gold. Not really worth the effort considering how long it took to make that much karma.

I guess you can out right fluke and get a precursor (win the RNG lottery) but that would take well over couple mill karma knowing my luck if I even get one.

Anyways, pretty sure this is unintended combining karma weapons/armors in the forge. They removed ability to sell/salvage them so this one will probably get nerfed too.

If you have no need for Karma right now, then I would forget you have until there is something you want (ie: future holiday event, game expansion, etc.)

I was saving mine for the legendary, but then I discovered the Armageddon Gear and blew it all on that lol (252,000 karma)
