Its not too much to ask, when customers are asking for the ability to give you money for something you have an infinite supply of, to at least give them a straight answer.

Quite possible but it’s a manpower issue with likely everyone who could work on this are neck deep in HoT work.

I’m going to guess that the town clothes items were ported to skins based on previous sales to determine popularity. And the Gem Shop overseers don’t see it as a major new income stream, unlike a new outfit so they aren’t pushing it to be added to the schedule.

Also you never want to deliver negative news. How would you feel about posts saying they were added but later cut from the schedule due to time, over and over again. Because that’s what happens in the real world of software development. That’s why minor bugs never get fix.

Most town clothes were ported to endless potions.

And i agree, this is getting old. I dont care, if people wear bunny ears in game because i dont see them anyways on low details but these countless threads and calling out Gaile make me feel happy, every day bunny ears dont come back to the gem store yet again.

If anybody thinks at this point that they are actively working on changing bunny ears to a armor skin and reintroducing them to the gem store, has lost the plot.

I’m only annoyed at all the duplicate threads on the subject, just as I am with mounts or dueling or “add Dx12/fix sub optimized game” threads.

That is seasonal. Seasonal items tend to be saved for the appropriate holidays, I believe.

I think having one post dedicated to the bunny ears is actually pretty reasonable. There’s no need to bury the bunny ears thing in a pipe dream thread.

Yup, I like seeing this big old thread with the red icon bumped, as I feel it is an effective way of saying “Hey, we really, really, really want this!!” and bringing some attention to it.

If you feel it is pointless/hopeless and get annoyed by it, please simply ignore it!
Plus : Like I said earlier, the main reason I can’t let this go, is that the situation seems kind of absurd…
Seriously, I find it hard to believe that bringing this tiny already existing item back into the game will take that much time/effort/work ressources, that it won’t be worth the pretty much guaranteed income from the sales.
It might not be a priority right now, but it seems unreasonable to deny us this little wish and it won’t hurt them to atleast acknowledge it somehow, especially since the last response was so seemingly inconsequential / open ended…

How many people need to be coordinated to make an in game item go on sale in the gem shop?

Theres got to be only like 3 people and they dont have to be in the same room at the same time right? The gem shop coder guy, the management approval guy, and the person who works out other technical problems maybe guy?

Both Rox’s quiver and Belinda’s greatsword have appeared twice in the gem store before a single appearance of the Bunny Ears (or Aviator glasses for some) during my period of playing the game. It makes you curious if they will keep their promise and disappointed that they’re taking so long to bother.

There has been multiple threads over the past year of people asking for the bunny ears to come back again. There was even an event where a group of people walked across Tyria in Jackalope tonics. How much effort do we have to put forth for you guys to see we really want these items back. You’ve brought back the stupid ear muffs, devil horns, and multiple other items over n over…A Dev makes a promising comment about bunny ears and the perfect chance to bring them back is being passed. This game is getting super old already, with 0 thing’s to do and all I want are some darn bunny ears.

I think the red fox is coming. The raccoon you can get if you get enough HoM points in GW1 (once they fix the current HoM issues). None of the HoM rewards should ever be gained without doing the GW1 requirements imo.

I hope you don’t like your character’s hair, because they are bald with the hat on. It’s the main reason I don’t wear it on any of my characters. It’s so perfect for a female ele/necro, but not when it turns them into cue balls.

I have one and would love to use it, if I could still have hair. I play mostly humans and Norn and baldness isn’t acceptable to me. The tech has to be there, it’s still that helms make you bald.

How would they profit if the said item doesn’t come back (for past 2yrs)?

As for some of returning items, often a theme is associated with them, such as GW1 anniversary, elite spec previews (hence the gs/quiver), events etc.

The chat link code for bunny ears got deactivated when they discontinued town clothes. If they would reintroduce it, the new chat code would have been data mined after the last patch to the client.
They are not in the wardrobe either.

It’s obvious that the bunnyears would have to come back in a different “version” than the old townclothes one … Duuh, we know that!

Still the skin exists in game right now. The new version from the gemstore would have to split up into 3 skins ( one for every armor class). Takes some extra coding, sure, but it’s nothing they haven’t done before.

You really don’t need to act like it’s so unrealistic to ask for that.
